Thanks for this helpful information. I had started to create a site on Wix when someone else suggested Square Space. I was impressed with the demonstration of Square Space for how it looked on a phone and I thought that was important. After reading this I will finish the one I started on Wix. I have three business I want to promote: FIne Linens, Art and Rosenberg Media. I am going to post this on my fb marketing page. Again, thanks.

Good tips. Totally agree and only one of many obstacles to master. Its difficult to find competent people to design your website and then once you pay them you are out of money. Very similar to a bad investment in advertising. Unprofessional.

Talk about this all day but we can agree Arab Muslims and Arab Christians have one thing in common - they all hate Jews. I would like all of you people who hate Israel to give up all the technology that you use like computers, mobile phones and medical advances which would not exist were it not for the state of Israel.

I would also like to point out that there are over 1,000,000 practicing Muslim CITIZENS with full rights that any Israeli has, living in Israel. It's really the only country that allows and even encourages diversity. Israel is also home to about a million Arab Jews that have been expelled from their native lands. FREE GAZA - that is apparently the problem. Stop killing Israelis and the walls will come down and the borders opened. Egypt doesn't allow the PA, their fellow Arab brothers, into their country. Hamas rules Gaza and believes in the elimination of the Jewish nation - they will drive them into the sea. Start by changing the language of these doctrines. That's step one and stop indoctrinating children and embedding hatred. I deserve to be loved.

People who have troubled marriages trying to have children, have it wrong. Its selfish and the relationship usually doesn't last. Some people shouldn't have children - being cognoscente of this is being responsible. If your marriage is strong it can be even stronger without children. Children will be the icing on the cake.

Let me share a story that you might find amusing.

About ten years ago my husband and his mom traveled to Germany on business. At the hotel lounge there was an African-American playing Jazz piano. My mother-in-law being the gregarious social butterfly that she is, introduced herself saying that they were from Chicago and she loved Jazz. What a coincidence? So was the piano guy!

He laughed and told them he used to live in Chicago but was so happy to be living in Germany because he never had to deal with "those f***ing Jews. My mother-in-law and my husband's jaw dropped to the ground.

Guess what? We're Jewish. The more things change, the more they stay the same. It's never nice being, "the other", no matter where you are.

One of the hardest things that many face is managing an aging parent alone, or together with other siblings. In my case, my mom moved in with my family - and the relatives moved on happily into the sunset. (Not uncommon) Remember people, even siblings & parents, usually have their own agendas. It's a fraught situation. Good luck.

I am former chemist in the petrochemical industry who ran a Luxury Retail store in downtown Chicago for the last 25 years. I was the Creative Director in charge of Marketing and PR, Visual Merchandizing and the Buyer. I am well connected with manufacturers and trade professionals in the textile, ceramic and home décor industry. I am someone who understands Branding; creating beautiful destinations and personal comfort. I am well-versed in the Fine Art of European Linens, its uses in the home and Luxury Retail. In 1998 we were awarded the prestigious Retailer of the Year Award
by the New York Home Textile Association and LBD Interiors Trade Journal. We were listed among the top ten luxury linen boutiques in the United States.

During my six years as a chemist I worked in the Material Science Research Laboratory at UOP, Inc. While there I co-authored three patents on vapor deposition, gels and creating micro-emulsions to form Platinum particles in the 500-700nm rage. My last two years I worked in the spectroscopy department studying zeolites by Solid State NMR.

I like to gardener, cook, play music and paint. Recently, I have been experimenting with Digital Painting and Animation and was published in Poets and Artist Magazine in January of 2012.

I have been saddened by the closing of our beautiful store in 2010; however, I have also been enjoying my new found freedom to explore, learn, experiment and listen to the windmills of my mind. I believe that creativity and determination trumps technology most of the time. I am a Futurist and my goals include creating a living doing something meaningful. I am relying on my intelligence and drive to get me there. I have many interests and I am a passionate and engaged with what I do.

I am a "LIfestyle" specialist and fluent in Italian. For the last 5 years I have immersed myself in studying e-commerce and Social Media, strengthening my marketing knowledge and trying to master Communication in the Modern Era.

Loosing everything I have worked for and having decent health insurance. I try to take care of myself though and stay positive. Still I wonder if we're all sitting on the event horizon of a giant black hole.
