The teacher said: "its the law of nature (Dharma) that before you can burn others, you must urself be burning in the flame" & conversely "whenever you emmit good will / peace to others, you will yourself become peacefull." -- I luv that.

Also, my fav. portion of the The Dhammapada:

"All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows him, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage.

All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If a man speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows him, like a shadow that never leaves him.

"He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me,"--in those who harbour such thoughts hatred will never cease.

"He abused me, he beat me, he defeated me, he robbed me,"--in those who do not harbour such thoughts hatred will cease.

For hatred does not cease by hatred at any time: hatred ceases by love, this is an old rule. Before my following experience I'd be selfconcious going out "alone."

But once I was in Miami and forced to either spend a beautiful day stuck in a dorm room or taking the subway to SoBe "alone." I went for it and turned out to be one of the most memorable days. On the bus I ran into 2 european tourists, Elika & Lilla. We hung out at the beach, I tought them a little yoga, & had dinner. Later I check out the harbor market & when I was listening to some live music being performed, I almost cried at how beautiful life was and how confused I had been to realize.

A buddy recommends going to the movies alone, haven't tried yet...

Re: India Facts

Wrd, dialogue & diplomacy.
