Found you through Favrd and am very much enjoying your blog! I started The Lunatic At Large by J. Storer Clouston last night. I can't put it down. Also, The Fall by Albert Camus is very good. It's possible you've read these, but I seem to be behind the curve of contemporary literature. I spent my childhood reading Pilgrim's Progress.

I felt nearly the same when I read Blindness a few years ago. When I discovered that there would be a film version, I couldn't believe that a) they'd chosen a book that lives so much inside the heads of its characters and b) that they expected to SOMEHOW convey the complex personal and collective struggle between characters, government, and human nature accurately.

I'm skeptical about seeing it. I'm afraid it might override my feelings for the book with hatred.
