You have the privilege of reading the true feelings and thoughts of a person of deep faith and understanding in this forum. Your trite comments display your lack of respect for intelligent discourse on such important matters.

The fact that you encourage Bryan to "turn in his credentials" clearly displays your ill wishes toward the future of the United Methodist Church--of which I am a proud member--and your lack of human decency and total misunderstanding of Jesus' ministry to all, not just those of your political--and in my opinion misguided--IMmoral persuasion.

You have every right to think and write out your feelings. But if you are interested in a true, honest, and faithful discourse of controversial issues, try to express yourself in a more well-thought out and less dismissive manner.

This kind of honest conversation, whether it happens virtually (via blogging) or during a congregational coffee hour, is important to the growth and survival of a true, faithful, CHRISTIAN community. People of true Christian faith are perfectly safe to disagree on certain issues. However, we risk our souls to peril when we summarily dismiss our fellow Christ-followers as fools and charlatans. Jesus greeted his critics with love and respect. Try to do the same for your fellow travellers.
