GREAT tutorial! The javascript is 'Baked In', yet when you need to, complete flexibility to use javascript functions is available. That said, the platform is now dependent on EXTJS and learning to use that is somewhat of a prerequisite to using NETZKE (in my short experience with it). => see http://extjs.com/

BTW EXTJS is also GREAT.

NETZKE is AWESOME! I got hooked immediately and then quickly wound up getting weird Segment Fault errors etc.

Moving away from JSON Gem and to ActiveSupport seems to have cured all the ills of NETZKE for me (win32, Ruby 1.86 Rails 2.32) It required a few changes in several places:
