As per the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn @Heteromeles's real life example is totally manifested in Quinn's TAKERS and LEAVERS. That theory is that the root cause of the problem goes back to a time before population explosion and petrochemicals. It goes back to the earliest farming industrialists (TAKERS) taking over land to do it their way and telling everyone else they had to live the same way. That goes on to this day as most everyone sees the few remaining indigenous humans, living in tribes, doing it their way, as ignorant, savages, and heretics who need to be saved. Yet, they are very happy in their way of life. Are we? We truly lost our freedom when we gave up our symbiotic relationship with Mother Nature.

Just goes to show how many concessions were made to the "insurers" just in order to get something, anything, passed. I'm with you guys - SINGLE PAYER and use Medicare / Medicaid because it's already set up.

Betty that's an interesting idea. The formation of the area is in Geological time and so is that event. Wiki states, regarding that area, "Such a basin's groundwater dissolved the limestone and created the caves and cenotes beneath the surface.[36] So that's a very porous area. That image shows the tectonic plate edges and that area has three different plate interactions: Cocos, North American, and Caribbean.
