Hank is a bunny rabbit who runs around in a bright blue sweatshirt every day except Sunday, when he wears his yellow one. He's a generally happy guy, but if you put his hood over his head when he's not expecting it, he gets uber pissed.

i no longer feel guilty when those come on since we got a dog from the shelter about 7 weeks ago... then again, my mom always said our first dog was basically a rescue cause we're 95% sure he came from a puppy mill

so the fifteen year old and two thirteen year old CHILDREN whose suicides as a result of utter torture due to their sexuality came to light this fall after Tyler Clementi (still only 18) threw himself off the George Washington Bridge chose to be gay. the thousands more whose names we don't know who suffered every day and took their lives into their own hands decided one day, "i'm going to do something that will incite enough hate to make me kill myself." of course that's what they did.
i know i'm only a kid, but if gay marriage isn't legal by the time i'm engaged, i'm seriously considering waiting to get married until it is.

just puttin' it out there...
1. I don't know of any Jewish day schools with uniforms
2. I go to a quaker school, and our dress code is looser than at my brother's entirely secular school. he has to wear a polo, khakis, tucked in with a belt; i basically have to not be really revealing and not wear camo or sweats.

I know... I'm Jewish. the point of the joke being that if a bar mitzvah gets through his service without a voice crack, it's a miracle. The kid would be like, "there must be a God; I made it through..."

if i were a field player for lacrosse, i wouldn't mind wearing the uniform most days... as it stands, the goalies have to wear football jerseys and more pads than the guys. our girls lax uniforms are the closest thing we have to cheerleader outfits; we don't have cheerleaders (not that concerned) or dance team (boo ]:) on principle that it's not quakerly to taunt the other team.

as a dancer, i have the exact same perspective. even though we don't have any boys at my studio... however, my best guy friend, who's a football player, once said he'd come to my classes specifically to partner me. Disregarding the fact that he's never danced a day in his life...

in ballet and most other dance, yeah. it creates massive vpl that looks horrendous in costumes.

The jewish rationale is that יהוה can't be erased, so usually it's G-d. however, you wouldn't say, for example, a Roman g-d, because using the hyphen implies the particular one.

As a Jew, there's nothing that bothers me more than when the bible is used to justify hate. I have been told before that if I didn't immediately accept Jesus (which I won't; I believe in a messianic age, and we are most definitely not there yet), I was going to rot in hell forever. The difference between myself and my friends who are gay is that I have made the choice to be a Jew. Sure, I was born into a Jewish family, but it would be far easier for me to just say, "I believe none of this. I am nothing" than to stand up and be counted for what I believe in. I deeply respect all people who, like me, are different; it takes a whole lot of courage to say you truly love anyone, especially in the face of hate. So, all of you different people, let them say what they want. All the same is boring anyway.
