Indie games are proof that the budgets skyrocketing has nothing to do with just "making better games" ... it has to do with mindlessly chasing trends (turning every game into an open world Gane even if it doesn't fit), lack of coherent clear vision which opens doors wide for more corporate meddling, tendency to hire celebrities as voice actors to try to be more like Hollywood, over-inflated HR departments, hiring to meet quotas not hiring based on talent that's actually needed.

And there is no better example of this than the bloated budget of Spiderman 2 ($315 million) vs the first game's budget ($90 million).

Well, people can still use classical artists or train their own models using modern artists art, Stability A.I just wanted to wish their hand clean of any frivolous lawsuits that might come their way from clout chasers and hustlers, probably advice from their legal team.

Though it is a fact that no single artist owns any style or stylistic elements or is owed money for allowing others to replicate their style (specially when they themselves create their style by borrowing stylistic elements from previous artists and remixing them to their liking), artists only get to have ownership over the specific art pieces that they produce, which aren't contained within the final model and are only used for the purpose of teaching the A.I that specific style then are discarded.

Statue is nice but way way overpriced, you could buy a real car with that much money where I live, it's much cheaper to get 3D printer, get a detailed 3D model of Terra and her Magitek Armor, print it and paint it, it won't even cost a fraction of that money.

There is literally an item in the game you can equip that protects your Runes from being lost upon death, it's a one time use but it's for when you are in a new/dangerous territory or about to fight a tough boss and can't access a Sight of Grace at the time, or want to keep Runes for later when upgrading costs go up.

Also the Runes you collect from the world as items stay in your inventory and aren't lost upon death, you could save them up for later use when you really need them (i.e you stumbled upon a new merchant that has a cool item you need but you don't have the Runes on hand.

Clearly from the hilariously oblivious statements like "Unaware of its absurdity" and "It doesn't quite work" the author of the review didn't do their homework and didn't even bother checking the source material, the racism bit tells me they never heard of the Arctic Nation story, SIGH!

Seriously, in all of the PC GAMER offices you couldn't find a single reviewer who knows the source material well, you know since the game is aimed primarily at FANS OF THE BOOKS.

Actually i don't mind this in a game that has no PVP, if some players get in earlier and gain few levels before i do it means nothing to me, actually it means the 22nd Feb release will be far smoother and problem free because 1.The players who will start playing early will be experiencing the early bugs and instability in almost ALL online game when they release, and 2.The game servers/connections won't be flooded with so many people trying to log-in at the same time (which also happens in most similar games), by the time 22nd Feb comes people would have settled into a schedule to time their play sessions instead of burning through the content as they would do early on (which is what many people do in the early days of any new game with online connctivity).

At this point no matter what they put in Half-Life 3 it will be a disappointment, because after all this time and wait nothing could possibly match to what the players have imagined it to be ... it's the same curse FF15 and to some extent Duke Nukem Forever had to deal with as welll as all the games that got stuck into development hell for years and were made and scrapped a few times before finally released, and the results ain't ever pretty .. at best it ends being a "meh" game .. which is why i think they seem to be stuck in the perpetual loop of "should we do it!?" ..."probably not!" ..."maybe we should do it!?" ..."too late, probably not!" .. so on so forth, forever XD

What a wall of ignorance and lies, first of all even the very examples you show of harassment aimed at her has nothing to do with racism, yet her tweets are mainly aimed at an entire race for no reason whatsoever (unless she can magically guess the race of every troll who harassed her).

There is only ONE conclusion that any rational sane human-being can reach after seeing her tweets .. which is Sarah is a racist who hates and mocks an entire group of people for their skin color (the very definition of racism).

More importantly, when trolls harass they want to get a reaction from the person they are harassing, anyone who spent a few years on the internet knows that very well and also knows it's best to block and report them when they appear, so try to convince us that joining in on the trolling and harassment by making racist tweets attacking an entire race is somehow a justification is utterly ridiculous and shows a clear case of ideological bias (you are defending Sarah because her ideology aligns with you and nothing more).

That's about the lies, as for the ignorance part, this has to be the most ignorant thing i ever read ... "Never mind that racism does not apply to a majority group that hasn’t experienced systemic inequality and discrimination" ... first you wouldn't think it's ok to go to China and write racist tweets about Chinese or go to Somalia and write racist jokes about black people in their own country because they are a majority there, it's utterly ridiculous to even bring up the majority thing up, as for the inequality and discrimination .. everyone faces them for one reason or another, you think a white gay man didn't face any discrimination, you think a homeless white vet sleeping on the street in a tent didn't face and inequality, you think white people being used in human and sex trafficking aren't experiencing any oppression, ffs ... and if you are going to play the historical card white people did face discrimination and genocide on several occasions throughout history around the world, be it the Slavs, the North Europeans enslaved by the Roman empire, the Ottoman empire and the Moors, or the Armenian genocide which Turkey to this day denies.

This incident will at least open the eyes of many deluded people to the double standards of the mainstream media, their bias and their endorsement of racism as long as it serves their ideology ...still really disgusting how far you are willing to stoop to justify that vile attitude.

Except the same people making claims RT scores are not valid when it comes to TLJ also use RT when the results are in their favor with other movies, sorry but they can't have it both ways, RT reviews have value because they are open to everyone, if a movie drops to 50% or 40% it isn't because of trolls, it's because it's disliked by majority of viewers, RT do clean up fake reviews and zero score and troll reviews in general reviews as far as i know, but movie is still stuck at 46% now, that's really how the audience and SW fanbase are divided about it.

Also ticket sales mean nothing because no first time goer knew the movie was shit, also many of the people who are in denial and are acting defensive could go see the movie several times.

More so, there are several SW related channels and youtubers on YT who hated the movie and presented very detailed and valid criticisms on it, Geeks & Gamers, StarWars Girl, Ivan and Jessi and many others with thousands and thousands of fans and viewers, none of them are trolls, the so called trolls are an extreme minority who mostly troll because they are douchebags, they have nothing to do with the majority of fans who didn't like the movie because it was poorly written and directed crap.

Ray is nothing like Luke, stop being delusional pls.

She piloted Han's ship better than himand fixed it as well with ZERO training.

She fought and defeated Kylo who was trained by a sith lord when she had ZERO training.

She pulled off Jedi mind-tricks with ZERO training.

She fought and killed the elite anti-jedi troops of Snoke with ZERO training.

And the list goes on and on, not to mention she has no personality, no growth, no actual meaningful goal, no thematic value, no wonder she was so confused in TLJ.

Want to see a well written female SW character look no further than Ahsoka, it's night and day when comparing her with Rey, Ahsoka started as an annoying overconfident force sensetive brat and eventually went through training, earned combat experience, had to deal with actual hardships, had an actual character arc and eventually became a legit badass who could believebly hold her own in a 1vs1 fight aganist Vader in his prime (he trained her after all as Anakin).

Wake up and stop defending the terrible writing amd characters in TJL, nobody should ever want this trash to be the standard or the norm (which is what will happen if you keep defending it), ask for better writing and better characters, in fact demand it .. Because it can be done and because it's our money and passion that made SW the big name that it is today.

It's not a minority, look at the RT score, it's almost 60% of the fanbase, and vast majority of them aren't trolls, far from it, and the movie made money because everyone was fooled into believing it was a Star Wars movie, it wasn't, it's a Rian Johnson movie that has a fake coating of SW, and it's also terrible pretentious movie with terrible writing from peoole who think that subverting expectations is the epitome of writing and that a strong female protagonist means she gets to be the most powerful character in the movie because she is a woman (not because she trained, fought and earned her place in the universe like say Ahsoka from Clone Wars did).

And condescending dismissive attitude from people like you and from Rian towards at least 50%-60% of the fanbase is what escelated things to this point, as with all left leaning hollywood types they NEVER admit they are wrong, they always play the victim, if he showed some respect towards the fans and their many legitimate complaints aimed at the movie (which are numerous) and admitted mistakes has been made none of this would have happened, but instead he and his team of writers doubled down on the insults, basically he spits on the fans saying he doesn't care what they want or think at all (despite pleas from actors like Mark Hamill to consider the fans and respect them) and what do you expect the reaction to simwthing like that would be like, someone with such inflated bloated ego who can't handle criticism, who never admits he was wrong, who clearly doesn't give a damn about the beloved characters and mythos of Star Wars (neither does Kathleen Kennedy) should have never touched a Star Wars movie, end of story.

And we will see how future SW movies will fare, SOLO was a boxoffice bomb and i assure you if nothing changes ep9 will under-perform or worse, i know i will never go see it in cinema.
