But the actions of one person could greatly affect the entire world for better or worse, if the actions done are great enough. Sure one person may not be enough to cast eternal damnation upon criminals. But who's to say that a group cannot? A large scale jury can carry out the executions of he wicked, very similar to our own justice system really. And if you were to ask the masses anyway, they would rather live in a communtiy devoid of large amounts of crime than in one where criminals slip through the cracks of the justice system.

Re: Supporter of Kira?

Billyindespair-

You are quite right. People do need to stop worshipping this false idol, because it is just a work of fiction. Its getting a little out of hand the way people on here "confront" one another.But what you dont understand is that the people that truly support THE IDEA of kira are "different". They look at things in a different light, if someone like this actually existed then the world would be a better place. A safe haven from crime. That is what they hope for, a savior to liberate the suffering and punish the wicked. Whether that person is some "kira" figure, or anything else, what matters is that is what they believe. What I believe. This hope, sometimes its what keeps us going. And we should keep that in mind as we try to change the world ourselves, shape it to the way we want. Perhaps that "kira" will show up one day and purge the world of crime, but until then you're right. Its up to US to do something about it.

Re: Supporter of Kira?

You Mr. Kira, or rather Vergara, should stop polluting this intelligent discussion with your immature attacks on the Ls that are apparently situated around the world and have installed cameras in a complete strangers home. Kira's message of justice, the essence of this forum, is lost among your "confrontations" with the army of Ls stumbling across this discussion. In fact, they are no better than you when they participate in fighting you across the internet. Leave the discussion if your intention is to make shallow threats, you are contributing nothing and are exactly the kind of person that kira would not like. Your support is dependent upon the fact you want to just kill every L figure that shows up, those morals are not what kira's message is about and you are only stupid for basing your intentions on that alone. Please, if you do not wish to add anything more than empty threats and snide insults, leave this discussion immedietely and leave the rest of us sane people to discuss our thoughts in peace.

Re: Supporter of Kira?

A valid point, but we have yet to see Kira "behind the scenes". At one point in the series it does mention Light does his research before executing criminals. So in theory, if Kira managed to follow a criminal's case thoroughly enough, then he could avoid killing off the wrongfully accused. It would take a while, but all for the benefit of the world. And though we do see "the bad guy" as the one in jail, it can't be helped. Isn't also true that innocent people are executed by the state anyway, even our justice system would make the same mistakes. The world cannot be fully saved by a miraculous savior, but it would certainly be better off.

Re: Supporter of Kira?

True they weren't criminals, but their intentions were shady. They were scamming people out of their mony, to build "Kira's Kingdom". They were greedy, convulted obsessionists. Its like a scammer who steals your identity, and thus your money, and thus the rest of your happiness. The real supporters of kira, the ones who believe he is making the world a better place, they are a far different breed. Not social anarchists at all. Those were Near's words by the way :}

Re: Supporter of Kira?

To hpptgrl:
You're obviously unaware of what your own comment said "Why are we killing people who kill people to teach people that killing people is wrong?" Well thats just it, today's justice system is based upon that logic its what capital punishment is after all. Though it's a sad truth, criminal executions are the law of this world and it seems that the public accepts this "eye-for-an-eye" system. Kira would be doing the exact same thing, and people would eventually learn to agree with such methods. And ridding the world of evil does require sacrifices, even L himself committed crimes to stop Kira. The police have to risk their lives to uphold peace. Chaos cannot be controlled without having to commit treachery of your own. Thus is the sad way of the world.
