Thanks for your comment. I don't think Rachel's law has been mentioned on this website yet but it is something that people should be aware of. For more info about Rachel's law, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wik.... In short: ""Rachel's Law" requires law enforcement agencies to (a) provide special training for officers who recruit confidential informants, (b) instruct informants that reduced sentences may not be provided in exchange for their work, and (c) permit informants to request a lawyer if they want one."

For some reason it never clicked in my brain that Alapoet and Steve Elliot were the same guy (even though its pretty obvious considering it says your name on your twitter page & your Reality Catcher blog strangely seemed to always link to articles written by Elliot). Anyway, I've been reading your writing for a long time now and its great stuff. We always look forward to your articles. Thanks for doing the REAL legwork on issues such as this.

Thank you guys for reading and commenting. This is a feature that we would like to continue indefinitely (it's timely and easier to produce than our other articles). We just need more people to read for it to be worthwhile. Nonetheless, Wake 'N Bake will be a staple of the MJO for the foreseeable future.

I think (someone please correct me if I am wrong) one of the key problems is that these dispensaries have to be non-profit, so that limits their incentive to expand all across the state. See this article: http://bit.ly/eU7cA. I am not aware of a way around this problem...

If only there could be an In & Out of Marijuana....
