These should be for discography's, not for single albums. It is not worth the price, if you can still buy an Mp3 player and load more music in it for cheaper. With a CD you have limitations, not everybody can make a special edition cd with video's and other stuff as easily. Maybe come out with these mp3 players that can plug into a TV and show the music video's and extra content that way?

Re: Promises and Expectations

I am very interested to see how it turns out. On one hand it can never be the second coming of iTunes since it is a different formula, on the other it is a hopeful business strategy that has worked in other cases such as TV, and others. Make singles playable, and have it so you can purchase albums. I don't know how the system will work, but I am sure those at Myspace have figured some plan. I hope it all works for the sake of the industry.

Keveeno

Re: Music and Pricing

I believe that if singles rose, it would severely hurt the industry. The reason most people buy singles is because they do not want an album of singles and fillers, what they want is a quality song and it would possible push the single buyers to torrent sites to get their music free. If you raise the price, how would you explain the costs if people already say .99 is too much? I would look into a way to assure the buyer they are getting more for their money if that's the case, like turn it around and say the buying is investing so to speak. I wrote more about it in my most recent blog.

Keveeno Reeverts
Keveeno.wordpress.com

Re: Napster's Descent Continues as Paid Subscribers Drop 6.8%

Its just another example of the struggling industry right now. I want to know that if nothing happens, what is the breaking point of the industry? I wrote a little about it and linked back to this blog since I get most of my information through coolfer
http://keveeno.wordpress.co...

Re: Coolfer Report: The State of the Compact Disc

Are Majors becoming obsolete?
http://keveeno.wordpress.co...
Hope this doesn't break any rules, but your blogs inspired me to start my own. Check it out and comment if you want. I am a rookie by your standards, but hoping to improve.
