He doesn't have my interests at heart. Our income taxes have been hiked. Property taxes are being hiked because he removed the cap. He tried (but failed) to hike the sales tax. Tolls on the roads are up and up again. He hiked the gas tax once. Now tell me what he's doing for me, because my family has received no benefit other than having our pockets picked. Not so for Illegal Aliens and other vermin.

That is true, however, one MUST understand the ease of the task when Apple has only to address its own product line. Android is on many more phones from many more manufacturers. Admittedly, however, when I had Samsung phones they were among the least efficient at updating older (and even newer) devices.

JimmyPete. NJ is NOT doing well at all. Our state budget is straining at the seams. We have billions of dollars in unfunded pension liabilities going back decades. Our collective tax burden is the highest in the country. Look at the ratings on New Jersey state and municipal general obligation bonds! Its atrocious. We have a net outflow of the kind of residents the state should be struggling to keep here....self funded, taxpayers. They'll go to low tax states like FLA, DEL, SC, TX and others.....leaving "takers" (welfare recipients, food stamp recipients, and others living off handouts) in their place.

This is basic fairness. Politicians in "tax and spend" states, many in the NorthEast, raised taxes to fund union giveaways, proliferate uncontrolled spending, corruption and waste, did so with impunity. They knew that the taxpayers in other states would end up subsidizing them through this deduction. Its patently unfair to states that managed their revenues and expenses wisely, and have resident and business-friendly tax structures. The liberal tax and spenders know this, so they're dusting off the usual canards about "giveaways to the rich", and all their other predictable bulls**t.

The unemployment rate is meaningless, and anyone with a modicum of knowledge about economics knows this. The "unemployment rate" includes people shunted from full time into part time work without benefits. It include "underemployed"...people like mid level managers having to work at entry level jobs. It includes those who have been unsuccessful at finding work for so long that they have given up hope. The true bellweather of the employment situation is the labor force participation rate -- another federal government statistic. Its at the worst its ever been, with 95 million people out of work! This is Obama's economic miracle. Look up these stats on the Department of Labor web site.

With all the tolls collected in this state -- from residents and out-of-staters alike -- our roads should be paved in gold already. It costs more in tolls to drive from my home in NJ to visit my sister in Brooklyn than it would cost me to drive all the way to San Francisco, CA. Why is it all these other states have much better roads without the need for outrageous tolls like we have here? And where does that money go? Answer: Buying votes, buying favors, cross subsidization of infrastructure projects that benefit others. Time to stop balancing the budgets of others on the backs of motorists.

I don't think he is worried about having "future income". His losses are miniscule compared to his holdings. Remember, its not the income statement that matters, its net worth. I'd gladly have his assets, even if his liabilities came along for the right. Your statement about capital gains is not based on fact, but political orientation. Of course wealthier people benefit the most. Who do you think the investors ARE in this country? Poor people? Lower middle class? Of COURSE NOT. Those groups don't invest in equities or debt. But of course, you knew that. The capital gains tax rate exists to encourage people to invest in businesses and municipalities/states.

I would BET he doesn't take a "yuge" salary. First of all, he doesn't need it. Second of all, not taking one would be better politically than taking one (people seem to object to rich people being paid for working). Finally, taking comp in stock and options -- particularly if held for long term -- presents a much better tax situation. The latter being the driving force behind this discussion.

As you (should) know, he promised to release his returns when his audit is complete. If you have a tax attorney, and he suggested you do anything else, he should be disbarred. Moreover, no candidate is under any obligation whatsoever to disclose personal income tax statements. Corporate tax payment is a matter of public record. Now go memorize more mantras from "Occupy Democrats" or any of Soros' sponsored websites.
