Bought all my bedding on Etsy this past March. Everything from covers to shams, everything. It was awesome. Getting blankets for the kids this year. It's the perfect example of Chris Anderson's the long-tail. I have literally been around the world and seen some great cities, but Paris was definitely one of my favorite. My favorite to date is St. Petersburg, but I don't think I would want to live there. I think favorite has many flavors. Great post. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Re: Why Should I Talk to You?

Ryan, that's a big question, but here's a place to start. Showing can be done by inviting others to read the blog, by commenting like you do, by sharing posts on other sites, etc. Showing is taking action, not just talking. Your continual engagement shows a lot. ;) Thanks baby!

Re: We Need More Mentoring

No need to be flattered Dave, you know you've been a tremendous support to me over the years. There is nothing that prevents you from describing a sale, how you built the deal strategy, the objections and challenges you faced, how you overcame them, why you chose the strategy you did etc. without ever giving away who it was/is.

Also, you could package what you did into a lesson about how to sell. For ex: If you closed a huge deal that had multiple buyers, and a difficult CEO, rather than tell the story of that company, teach. Create a blog post or video called "Five Steps to Close a Huge Deal When The CEO Isn't On Board." Then share the challenges, the issues and the lessons. You can do this without ever having to share the "real life" story behind the lessons.

I hope this helps bro.

//keenan

Re: It’s Time We Start Hacking Ourselves

Improving what we're doing and finding our calling are two different things. To improve you have to be committed to deliberate learning and self awareness. You have to be able to take a personal assessment of your strengths and weaknesses in your job and then go improve them, deliberately. Do that, get better and repeat.

Improvement is a commitment, it's that simple.

Re: Note To Sales People in 2017 — It’s Time To Up Your Game

Unfortunately a lot aren't new, but yet salespeople aren't doing them and they need to. ;) Thanks Greg!

Re: Hey Salespeople: If This Isn’t In Your CRM, You’re In Trouble

You're right, it's not easy.
