Look at where we were at when the internet started in the 90's. Now we are starting to integrate Web 3.0 widgets like Google Friend Connect. Probably be fully integrated with Web 3.0 in the next couple of years.
Marketing has taken on a new meaning. Main stream television is no longer the giant for marketing. It is the internet! You mentioned it Simon - YouTube... This is the medium for advertising. Now we can target our demographic audience for marketing. One can do it on their own and not have to hire corporate America (or the world now days).
You have painted a great picture into the near future of marketing. Marketing through campaigns is ideal, because you are marketing virally. Friends trust friends more than any ad ever could. This is powerful information

If you want a back door pass to get all this great information, become a fan and I will give you a VIP Pass.
http://www.SocialTraffic.bi...

Re: The Value Of Promoting On Social Networks

Thanks for the golden nuggets and the power of social marketing. I did not realize the power of social networking and the reach you can get from this form of marketing.
If done right in the early stages, getting your first group of people that will market for you is crucial. Then how many degrees will it go through the network with the word of mouth marketing. Very powerful strategies...

Re: The quality of what you do…

There is nothing more I love than talking to a wall. It takes me back to when I was a child and had to stand in front of the wall and stare at it. Cause I had behaved inappropriately. This is exactly what we are doing to each other in this digital world. Who wants to talk to a wall? This is not what the social sites are about. Although it seems this is what FB is promoting. Say your two cents and leave it at that with your comment. The weird thing is people love it. Isn't this interaction with out the interaction. hummm - oxymoron I guess.

Re: Selling yourself short? You might want to attract more customers by offering something for Free, just use caution when doing this because the real goal is to attract quality people you want to have as long time customers at your club. Most quality people going to a club are looking for something more than Free drinks. I was just the casual internet surfer, getting recipes, reading tabloid information, etc.
Now that I have become an internet entreprenuer, I have searched for some information and I cant figure out the good information from the bad. Sites like digg and technorati really make the difference in reputable information. I am thankful I did not start doing this before the social bookmarking sites came along.

Re: What practical experiences can teach you - which no school ever can

That is what I have loved about the way we have been taught by you Simon. It is the same method. We get enough instruction to know what to do and we have to implement our lessons for the week.
There is no way I could have read this information from a book. Then at some later date be expected to implement what we have learned. Yeah maybe some of it, but most of it would be lost in between the pages. These lessons are not easy, but with two of us as partners we have been able to figure it out. What great team work! Learning through experiences is the only way to get the best education.

Re: Scarcity, exclusivity & our word is our word

These are all great strategies. I have taken a lot of notes and know that I have a lot of homework to get done.
I really like the strategy of your personal network doing the work. Don't publicly try to get everyone in at once. Keep it to only those in your extended networks. Make sure they need a private pass or code to get in. If they slip into the party with out the invitation, make a big deal about it. They are special they got in and since they are contributing to the group they get to stay. It is a privilege.

Re: If you were a corporation, what’s your stock worth?

Are you the type of person that has the conversation at the party with everyone? or are you the person who can listen to the conversation and still hear the ones around you. Most people have no idea if they are one or the other. They have never consciously stood outside of themselves and watched to see how they interact with people and how people accept them.

I am now living in a conscious state of being, watching my every move. How I interact with people. Do I provide something of value? Or when I get done talking with people do they ask, what was that whole conversation about? There was nothing said and we talked for half an hour. This does really happen. We all know those kind of people. It has become important to me, because this is what I do. I have conversations with people. Through our conversations, people are able to make decisions if they want to work with our company. Sure we give them examples of what we do, but the meat and potatoes is in our conversations. Conversations of confidence and testimonies for reputation.

Re: Ranking number 1 on Youtube for a super competitive phrase

I get the chills thinking and knowing, that I was apart of something so much greater than I could have ever done on my own. Yes it is true, we beat the 800 pound gorilla. It only took a small army of people who were dedicated to completing an assignment. Most of us had no idea what we were doing and yet we followed orders (if you will). The tasks that we had to do were not that hard at all either. I wondered if I was doing it right at first (sheep following the shepard), then it all came together and the results were outstanding. I was going on blind faith.

After all I have learned and continue to learn, I will put Simon at the top of this industry as the #1 authority. He knows his stuff! This is why my partner and I have created our own business and will become super promoters for EventsListed. Not only will be super promoters, but we have set up our own company as well to teach the basics of social marketing and apply those skills in business. We also provide the businesses too. This will be a turn key system for anyone. If you are going to learn these skills, you might as well apply them in a business that will fetch you a nice ROI for your investment.
Why do I tell all of this to you? Not more than four months ago, I was just an average internet surfer. Site to site and not much more. Just having fun as a consumer. Well now, with our education, we were able to put together a company that is a win/win system for anyone. I owe it all to Simon, EventsListed and Social Traffic.
Thanks for giving me the tools to be able to reinvent myself and take another path. That will give me more freedom to be with the people I choose and not corporate America. To be self sufficient and provide for society and not take from society. Again - Thank you Simon.
