Staci plays all "Oh wow I didn't even remember it was the actual day!", but you know hell would have rained down if people forgot. Coincidentally I totally forgot my niece's birthday on Saturday. My dad called me up wanting to know if I was sick, and my brother was apparently totally bewildered that I didn't call. Since it was her second birthday, I'm pretty sure she didn't know or care. I'm guessing Chase doesn't either.

A lot of posters are just assuming that the issue here is that the kid doesn't want to go to the bathroom when the mom wants him to. This very well may not be the case - who knows what the reason is behind her taking him to the doctor and trying to get him to go to the bathroom. Another poster mentioned her friend's daughter had issues where she wouldn't go to the bathroom and it would make her sick. Just because you personally (without any facts to back it up) do not feel it is a medical condition or issue does not mean that the doctor who actually examined the child might feel differently - and obviously felt compelled to suggest the mom get the kid to pee.

So, totally off topic, but related to your comment - there is a man that e-mails the office I work in all the time complaining that various companies are violating his 'Jeffersonian right to the pursuit of happiness' by not hiring him. I haven't yet managed to tell him they aren't hiring him because he's crazy and has terrible social skills or that he has no legal right to the pursuit of happiness.

Interestingly enough, you made my arguement for me with your second exception. Parents make medical choices for their children because children are too young to make certain decisions for themselves. I take this situation to be a medical one - since she consulted her pediatrician. She is making an informed decision for her child based on advice from a doctor.

Honestly, the only problem I see with this is the fact that she decided to put it on facebook. While I don't have kids, I can name two similar things my aunt and my friend were advised to do by their pediatricians. One was to stimulate, uh, "poo-ing" and the other to address this really horrifying thing I did not know could happen to women. Apparently if your estrogen levels are low enough your feminine parts can actually begin to fuse together ( !!! )

Just like when a doctor does an exam or procedure like a pap smear - just because it involves your genitals and may not be comfortable doesn't mean it's molestation or assault.

When my brother and I were little, the ice cream truck always came by our house around 5:30 when we ate dinner. This would cause us to beg/please/whine for ice cream. So one day my mom goes out and tell him if he comes by at that time again she would shoot him. I don't think he came back, at all, for several years. True story.

A. If your kid is popping a squat in a museum, she's not potty trained. B. They probably don't have "pet smart wipe stations" because people don't expect humans to use the floor as a toilet and not clean it up. Obviously their expectations are MUCH too high for you and your husband Ashley.

I tend to agree. Although I'm afraid she is talking about high school which is just shitty. I have this vision of 40 years ago when they sent you away to 'grandma's' for a while when you got knocked up.

As you know the thread was deleted. Your claim that there were no death threats has no proof either, however, aside from your own testimony. Since you claim several other people simply recalling seeing the death threats isn't enough to prove they were there, your claims that there were no threats is not proof enough either.

I'm glad you posted this. I used to comment quite a bit, but have done so less and just lurked more as the comments have been getting increasingly negative. I was really disturbed by some of the violent comments towards that woman and more importantly her daughter. Was it a troubling situation? Yes, of course but there is never under any circumstances an appropriate time to issue a death threat against a child.

Hopefully people can get back to the initial intention of the blog (from what I understand it to be), laughing at these people's ridiculous posts and commiserating over the lack of filter so many people seem to have these days.

Yeah. I'm sure someone 'stepped on' Ava. I would guess Ava was running around and darted in front of the lady. Same with the man that shoved the kid out of the way to get to the cheese platter. I would be extremely suprised if that actually happened.
