HOW COOL! How do we keep missing each other? Let's do coffee SOON. In the meantime, I wish I could say she did make that piece. That jumpsuit was given to her by her high school boyfriends mother (does that make sense?) a long time ago. My mom recently had it cleaned (it had an old yellowish tint because it had simply aged in a closet) and it came out that beautiful white. It is a stunning piece to have a in a wardrobe, right? I'll definitely pass along the compliments! xo

It's so nice to hear and see New Orleans musicians recognized for their hard work and authenticity. This song seems to embrace the modernity of the changing musical landscape while also paying homage to the indubitable sounds of old New Orleans.

Classic and upbeat, it's a song I want to dance to!

honestly: i couldn't even watch the whole thing without pausing it a few times.
outstanding.
and saddening.
and awakening.
and inspiring.
rarely do i let other things in other country's truly affect me. i often find myself of the "i'm to busy with my own b.s." (and it's ALWAYS b.s.) persuasion to truly GET INVOLVED in worldly concerns.
and honestly: this riot/demonstration in iran is STILL a big 'ole question mark to me, but i understand enough EMPATHETICALLY to know that this is HUGE.
we experienced something 'similar' (yet so positively different) this year: a change so influential and uplifting and instrumental in our country's history that we could (and SHOULD) prally write some dope-ass stdk to accompany such an amazing feat.
wow.
the power of people, huh?!
makes you REALLY recognize your own personal significance - as one, and then as one in a million.....
