The Aegis and Patriot both have a pretty bad track record when it comes to shooting down missiles. An shoot down attempt would would agitate China if it was unsuccessful or not and would be a propaganda boon for NK to one degree or another. Not to mention that we would be advertising just how effective Aegis and Patriot are.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I'm not seeing what the upside would be.
