I've been on the Bistro MD diet for three months.

PROS:

1. Healthy, wholesome ingredients, more so than for any of the other delivery plans I've tried. A variety of vegetables accompany the main entree.

2. The meals are tasty and, at times, even delicious. The breakfasts are almost always good. Excellent use of seasonings.

3. I'm losing weight-about 1 lb. per week. I supplement the diet with salads and fruit, but I'm sure I'd lose more if I ate only at the frozen meals.

CONS:

1. The meals contain ingredients such as: malic acid, hydrolized soybean protein, "natural flavorings," and tricalcium phosphate (caking agent). If you want to avoid synthetic ingredients, this isn't the plan for you.

2. At first I ordered the snacks along with the meals. The cheesecakes were tasty, otherwise I didn't think any of the snacks were good. Waay too much chicken in the main meals. Lunches and dinners need a bit more variety.

3. The dry ice (included to keep the food fresh) has occasionally caused the plastic trays to crack and the food to leak.

4. On two occasions I asked for a refund because I lost the food due to the tray shattering.

5. The website isn't useful. The FAQs don't answer the questions a real consumer would have.

The problem with telling people to pursue their bliss in their free time is that many employed people, maybe even most, have NO free time. It's not like the sixties when a nine to five job was really nine to five.

I had the same experience. My rigid, judgmental aunt became sweet, naively honest, and developed a delightful sense of humor as her dementia progressed. To this day, I wonder which version was the real her--or if there even was such a thing as the "real" her.

Crows are GREAT. I've been feeding them for several years, and they bring me gifts from time to time. Lots of humans don't think to do that.

All our hopes are riding on Mueller, and that's not good. He can have all the evidence in the world, but if the red states have all been brainwashed--it won't matter.

Trump is just the symptom. He's horribly dangerous, but the next one could be worse.

I usually agree with you, Andrew, but this is a situation that calls for a little wiliness, not an impetuous call to arms. You’re confusing strategic thinking with cowardliness. (Neither Adam Schiff nor Nancy Pelosi are craven.) David Frum made an incisive observation in a recent article. He pointed out that if we go for impeachment now, we may not get another chance at the target. But if we wait, we’ll have TWO chances to take him down.

I'm a lifelong Democrat. I've never voted for a Republican. I'm not happy to say this, but...as someone who's been a caregiver for people with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, yeah, he seems to me to be in the early stages of dementia, or another illness that affects the mind. That's nothing to be ashamed of. He was obviously still able to testify. C'mon folks, he couldn't remember if he'd written that letter to Barr. He couldn't remember which president had appointed him. Things like that. What this DOES do is give me reservations about voting for Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders (although I'd still support either one because Bernie or Joe with Alzheimer's would be infinitely better than what we have now).

Was about to donate money to Raw Story, but this "news story" positively disgusts me. I'm no fan of Bill Barr and I work day and night to get rid of Trump. But when I chased this one down, it's just a rumor started by a mobster. He "heard" that Bill Barr had visited the jail. Yeah, right. If RS isn't going to honor the truth, they don't get my bucks. Anyone can print a rumor and give it top billing.

He's just trying to separate himself from NBC, so THEY won't be sued. I'm sure the network asked him to do that. He made a statement taking full responsibility. And as others have said, he was careful to report it out last night as something that he had ONE source for. Donald Trump sues everyone. I don't think Lawrence will have to leave over this. Anyway, we still don't really know if it IS true.
