But I have to ask; do you really believe that with social media we'll never have to make another cold call again? I think that claim might be a bit too much. I say that only because as a startup you may not have the base (ie - Twitter followers, LinkedIn friends, etc) that you need to have these business opportunities come by frequently enough. I think for a while, you'll always need to supplement a start up business with cold calls.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;However, I agree 100% that a cold beer call is better than just a cold call!
