It's nice to hear that they don't plan to rush Avatar 2 at all. I would love to see it as soon as possible, but it takes a little while to craft an excellent sequel.

I figured it was rushed. I'll still see it, but just to see how bad they messed up. If it does turn out really bad when released, hopefully this will stop a majority of conversions and force studios to film it in native 3D if they want their film to have 3D.

Very interesting. I like how you can basically see it from every angle you try from, but the color is a little off for some reason. It was probably just the lighting, but anyway, cool stuff.

I expect it will just be the 10 minutes. Like you said, they'll need something new to show on the special edition blu-ray. Anyway, I would be looking forward to see it again in IMAX.

It's nice to see these start appearing in the consumer market. After a few more brands come out with their own 3D TV, and the competition brings the prices down some (3,875 is just too much for my wallet), then I'll probably buy one of these. A 52 inch Samsung would look great in my living room, with Avatar in 3D, right? :p

This. I understand the stupid politics of Best Picture (which is all BS) and the Academy having to give it to a woman to make themselves look good, but Avatar not winning the sound awards was just retarded.

I'm a little surprised they didn't at least a full clip from the movie like Fox did with Avatar Day. I would have been disappointed after waiting in line for a 2 minute or less trailer. Disney messed this one up.

That was very poor decision on Chartier's part. It not only hurts his credibility, but it also hurts the Hurt Locker's in a sense as well. The better movie should win. That's all it should be based on. It shouldn't matter how much cost, who directed it, who acts in it, just which movie provided the highest level of entertainment that you expect from an Oscar winning movie experience. Hopefully, Avatar will be the winner.

Cameron is apparently planning on going all out for the sequel. He's been thinking, "well, if they thought the first movie was incredible, wait till they see what I have planned next......"

It's a bit scary, yet completely awesome to think what Cameron has up his sleeve. To think that he's going to potentially top everything from the first movie, is just insane.

Awesome. Glad to see Landau and Cameron still have big plans for BA. I think Cameron pretty much HAS to do an Avatar sequel first though. Because BA is now planned after the second Avatar, I wonder where that puts the 3rd movie if a trilogy is planned? I guess that will depend on how well the Avatar sequel does and how well the first BA does too.

It's just great to see Cameron diving back into making masterpieces again after taking 10 years off.
