...13-28 with almost a 5.30 ERA?...We have a dozen pitchers in the minors better than this bum now...Unload him!...he's taking-up space...I don't know of too many teams looking for a washed-up pitcher who has trouble getting players out...

Ron Paul is a bright man. He's likable. A number of his ideas, however, don't past muster with me. Two examples: His thoughts on Iran-foreign policy and changing back to the gold standard.

Don't get me wrong, I like his stand against runaway government spending. However, I currently cannot support some of his major ideas. I have a lot of respect for him and he comes across as a very honest man. That's a rarity for a politician. I also demand the person I vote for president next year to be 1. a non-lawyer, 2. someone who has been a leader of a state (governor) or a successful business person, and 3. must be honest, unlike the current president.

Both Rove and Krauthammer were spot on...two inexperienced politicians supported mainly by the Tea Party were soundly defeated in winnable contests versus lame candidates.

Deb_M...let's be honest, both republicans in these contests for the republicans were weak candidates. I'm no fan of Harry Reid...but, he outmaneuvered his opponent at every turn. He kicked her butt. In Delaware, an inexperienced politician versus the democratic machine-no contest.

I still recall when LBJ, a much brighter man and a slicker politician by far than Obama, announced on national tv that he would not run for a second term as president. If this economy doesn't improve by next summer, Obama is toast...his policies have been a disaster for the country. He comes across as a snake-oil salesman. Very full of...beans...a major disappointment. Incompetent as a president and not an honest man.

Rove is making a ton of money selling his book and is a bright man, even with no college degree...however, sometimes he is right.

Christine O'Donnell is a very attractive woman. I'm an independent. I don't live in Delaware. I'm very conservative fiscally and a moderate, in general on social issues...that being said, she appeared to me to be unqualified for the senate. She never should have received the republican nomination.

Let me get this right, one person says Google is part of a Left Wing "group" while you say the opposite. Both of you cannot be correct. You may be correct, but, where did you research your statement?...i.e.: google is part of the globalist group

John, excellent all-around analysis.
If we don't get the offensive line squared-away, one big hit and Rodgers could be out...Have not heard anything for the past two months on Mark Tauscher, outside of..."he's being allowed to use Packers facilities and is rehabbing his knee." I'm paraphrasing, but, that was at least 60-days ago. My best guess is that he's two months away from being ready to play. Also, I fully understand he's a free agent...
One of the very surprising things to follow in the preseason, was the outstanding play of Chillar and Bishop...Matthews was mainly rehabbing his hamstring. They should have placed Barnett on the PUP-List, as to date, he looks "not ready to play." I know he wants to play, but, he's not ready. With Hawk, what's happened to him. He seems to arrive after the play is over. I know I'm beating a dead horse, but, is he injured? I truly believe, that Dom Capers, after watching the tape, has to bench both Hawk and Barnett. I think Brad Jones should be activated and Barnett, inactivated until he's ready. He certainly is far from it, at this time...
Our special teams, were also, overall-poor. I'm being kind. I know Will Blackmon was brought back, maybe a week or two, too soon. He was ineffective. Kapinos had a "hang-time" average of a tad over 3.8. This was in ideal conditions. 3.8 seconds. That my friends, is not NFL-quality hang-time. We need 4.3 or better. He's got to improve dramatically or we'll be returning to last year's punter-revolving door. Also, way too many penalties on special teams. it's killing our field position. Kickoff coverage was solid.
Lastly, allowing the Bengals to complete 9-out-of-14 third downs was embarassing. That is pathetic. Third down and 34 to go and we give-up 38 yards. The field position is killing us.
Ryan Grant's fumble was a momentum changer and I'm beginning to wonder if we need to look in another direction with our first pick next year. He also dropped another easy pass. He currently, is not earning what he's being paid.
The changes with our safeties, to me, is confusing. If Aaron Rose was so pathetic in coverage, why didn't the "brain-trust" figure that out as they were making the final cuts for the 53-man roster? I truly hope Giordano is an improvement over Aaron Rouse...after all, he was cut by Indianapolis and they're far from a great team defensively...
