It's funny though, because I remember seeing an advertisement for Google Apps in the latest edition of The Economist.

The ad was boasting how the city of Orlando uses Google Apps to power their systems. Now, I'm sure there are different permissions and safeguards for a municipality running Google software (or at least I'd hope), but it's definitely a blow to their reputation when a business person with your reach gets locked out.

Here's hoping for a quick and painless resolution!

Re: foursquare day 2010

Burlington, Vermont has our "Foursquare Day" ready for action too!

Check out Burlington, VT and the Foursquare Plan of Action!

Re: The Dangers of Ding-Dongs - Politics - The Atlantic

Damn good title...interesting article too.

One of my friends told me cocaine and sugar are separated by only a single molecule. We have a vibrant community here and it's great so many of us are willing to share insights about what works, and what doesn't.

Nothing makes me happier than helping someone succeed. But nothing drives me crazier than people who want to half-ass it and push all the work they should be doing onto me for no pay. That's just insane.

2010 is going to be a year of consolidation as people get over the hype and move on from their social media business hopes, separating those who can from those who cannot. Going to be an exciting ride!

As for that beer, looking forward to it!

Re: Beer Money Vs Cash Payment

I appreciate the kind words.

I guess you're right about people wanting things for free, which makes me think of the old saying, "You get what you pay for." It's funny, because I actually want to make sure the professionals I patronize are well compensated, because then I feel they are motivated to give me their best.

Nice thoughts, thanks for sharing!

Re: Beer Money Vs Cash Payment

Any time, Mitch :-)

Re: Beer Money Vs Cash Payment

Beer is good :-)

Re: 2010 Will See Consolidation and FoldUps

Right on.

The Fortune Brands will seek out the guerrilla talent, again, hopefully 'wringing out the snake oil' in the process.

Excellent points.

Re: Google Wave- My First Feelings

That video is about as far as I've gotten into Wave aside from sharing with a few friends.
