I've been tempted to close a certain door lately but as I've been thinking through it, it is completely unwise. Even if it causes pain....Looking over the books this individual has contributed thousands of dollars over the last 2 years. Unfortunately, I have to work twice as hard for them....

Half of nothing is still nothing.

But.....that's life.
Hope your well!

j

Re: Skeptical of Twitter?

Seth,
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Your terminology, touch points, is a perfect word picture for the exposure that Twitter gives. In just several years, we have been given a market exposure and reach that is simply just massive! It is an amazing Twool.

Re: Emotional dealmakers rarely win.

Well said!

Re: Emotional dealmakers rarely win.

Thanks for your kind words, Jorge! I was really encouraged to hear that my posts are a part of your day.

It's amazing how culture is fascinated with the "Trump" mentality. I agree with you that pride is necessary in entrepreneurship. I think it's what keeps me pushing forward in the lean times. I can' t see my self going back to waiting tables. :)

Jared

Re: Emotional dealmakers rarely win.

Grandma!!! Who said that our grandparents don't get the internet? Well, whoever "they" are clearly do not know my Grandma...

Thanks for commenting! I appreciate your feedback! This principle is one that is so important yet so difficult. Thank you for reinforcing the importance to try, try, try again...

I hope you are well and feeling spry!!
I love you too,
Jared

Re: Hard times can kill a Vision.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Vicki! I agree, that moving forward is essential. Any way that we can. It may not be glamorous, but it is always rewarding to look back and see our progress.

Happy 2009 to you as well!

J

Re: Magic Numbers.

Absolutely! It's wrought with challenges and A TON of work. Years of work, to be frank. But, strangely enough, I wouldn't trade these hard, hungry times for anything else. They shape who I am and what my company represents. They are essential to my life education.

Re: ThoughtPond |

January 3, 2009.

Eventually someone will join me in commenting on this page? C'mon Walker Zanger! Why? Because they have a great reputation within the high-end tile community, they have a broad reach, excellent marketing, and they could catapult us into tile stardom. Sounds silly. Well let's just see how silly......carpe diem!

Re: ThoughtPond |

January 1, 2009.

My goal is to close an in-progress deal with a Northwest tile distribution company by January 31, 2009

Re: Don’t Email Me Without A Good Signature!

Thanks for bringing this to your readers attention!
Beyond the frustration of no email signature is the problem of long, babbling emails. I wrote a recent post on this because, like you Derek, I became frustrated at the emails I was receiving. My issue though, was with the lack of concise, short emails.

Here's the post: http://fireandmotionblog.co...

Jared Lyda
www.fireandmotionblog.com
