Washington has spoken. Now lets see if there is any backbone here, or whether the call for constraint is merely so that our Government can claim that they clearly have an official policy that supports the quest for peace! My guess is that we will end up giving Israel even more military aid, and keep on doing so until they complete this inhuman ethnic cleansing of their precious land! What an absolute, sickening outrage, that my tax money is being used to systematically kill every Palestinian who will not "willingly" flee to some other country. I'd like to see Bush and Condy and Chaney spend even one day and one night in the horrible, degrading, inhuman conditions that we are helping Israel to inflict on the Palestinians! I'm talking about conditions that are reported even on Haaretz.com, an on-line newspaper published by Israelis inside Israel, Israelis who are sick of what their own government is doing to the Palestinians. This of course is information that the American media will never present to the American people, because thanks to groups like AIPAC, freedom of speech has become a joke here in the US!
In fact, I'd happily pay all their travel expenses, including the $0.25 US that it would probably cost them to stay in some mud hut in Gaza with raw sewage lapping at their doorstep! Any takers out there at 1600?
