She looked pretty black to me on Good Morning America. She's very light-skinned though and appeared white given the poor lighting in the Atlanta local news coverage. Might want to take a closer look.

This is a difficult time to be a Republican given their extreme positions. In addition, the Democratic party has taken more centrist positions since Clinton , making it attractive to independents and moderate conservatives IMHO...

Hey fig8jam -- Cenk became a U.S. citizen when he was 21. I don't really like the way "Go back to Turkey" sounds btw. Well, he hasn't done *exactly* what he said he'd do re: Afghanistan. I agree with you there on Iraq. Job well done shutting that down. And I was even willing to support a brief escalation in Afghanistan if it met our national goals -- which it did. Al Qaeda is crippled. But now, I'd like to see us draw back in much larger numbers much faster. I was hoping for a number like 50K troops being removed. The cost is too high IMHO in terms of lives and our tax dollars to support more years of war there.

Whiny? About trillions of dollars spent, young soldiers maimed for life or dead for a war whose justification at this point seems unclear at best? Really, figjam? I believe in the President and I'm confident he has the nation's best interests at heart. But the American people deserve to know the truth about why we're staying in Afghanistan, if there's something he knows that we don't. We're paying for it in teachers and firefighters laid off -- the stakes are too high to be so vague.

I hear you -- and I want to believe that the Prez is making the best decision he can based on the info he has. But if there's something we need to know as a nation about why we're still there in such large numbers -- then shouldn't he share some of that with us? I'm willing to be convinced! Otherwise, I don't know what else to think except that this war should be over.
