"What's the Problem with Men?" couldn't be a more timely, sobering response to that video:

https://markmanson.net/what...

Here are a couple excerpts:

"Men are so emotionally incompetent without women, getting married is literally the healthiest thing a man can do in his life. One research summary of emotional suppression went as far to say: “emotional restrictiveness is the leading cause to why men die earlier [than women.]”18

"Married men live longer and score higher on pretty much every quality-of-life metric there is, including happiness and life expectancy. Marriage is apparently so important for men’s emotional stability that some sociologists go as far as to state that simply being married can raise a man’s life expectancy by almost a decade.19 Elderly men who are in good marriages have lower rates of heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, depression, and stress than elderly single men.20

"Let me state that more clearly: Not dealing with your emotional baggage can literally kill you or make you go crazy."

Re: We Like It Raw - Raw Food Quickies

mmm...good grief, i love that man...

"you don't care for me,
well i don't care about that,
you gotta new fool,
hah! i like it like that.
i have only one burning desire,
let me stand next to your...FIRE!"

he sure wasn't talking about stoves... ;-)

Re: Raw Food Entourage

P.S. Did I mention my homegirl is bringing me back a piece of chocolate from your party? WOO HOO! = D

Re: Raw Food Entourage

Too funny! Just talked to my San Diego friends who are in NYC right now visiting family. They stopped at your Chocolate Party to say "hey" to David. Man, I wish I'd been there. :D

Day 4 of the MASTER CLEANSE! No crazy detox effects...moments of feeling tired followed by bursts of energy, tongue a little whitish but nothing my stainless steel tongue scrape can't handle. The senna tea is a little rough, wakes me up early with cramps but the salt water flushes help a lot. Doesn't taste as bad as a lot of people seem to think. I'm using both lemons and limes, organic, of course, and I think I'll switch to agave once my maple syrup runs out.

I've also been having strange food-smell-memories...I was warned about this...but guys?! Baked potato with butter, sourcream and cheese, fried chicken, porcini mushroom ravioli with alfredo sauce and sundried tomatoes? Weird, I haven't eaten these things in a L - O - N - G time. I find it hillarious though, and have fun with those moments when they arrive. My sense of smell is super keen these days...i'm a bloodhound, ha...

All in all, I know that the MC would be much harder if it hadn't been for the fact that I've been RAW for so long. ^_^

Looking forward to trying the rawvioli at PFW. BLESS UP!

Re: Free Prize - Dinner with the boys

you know it! how was dinner? ~_^

Re: Free Prize - Dinner with the boys

well it was 85 degrees out here last week...i stepped out of my office and it felt like summer week before thanksgiving, if that's any incentive. ^_^
