This is fantastic advice for anyone, not just designers. This is definitely something a lot of people can do to improve their financial situation...IF they're committed. Would love to at least design and list 1 theme sometime in the future when I find some time!

his last word "innovation" brought a whole new meaning to the quote. if you had watched the episode, you'd probably reach the same conclusion as me: "innovation" referred to the skills and tactics itself, not the advance of military technology, though technology is a part of it because it is the tools by which the skills and strategies were carried out. But innovation, doing things differently and better, that's a uniquely human quality.

the feelings in my hands are important to me because my first love growing up was drawing, sketching ( http://designshop.jeffreyli... ) but overtime it was just harder to draw with my hands. They shook a lot either because of the medication or because my nervous system was overcome with how itchy I was, my hands just automatically twitched. Doing computer graphics just became "easier"...but I really miss just holding a pencil and drawing.

Some traders can scan through thousands of stocks and narrow it down to a couple hundred to trade. I'm not that awesome. I can only focus truly focus on one or two things at a time. And don't have the ambition to be 24/8 like Bud Fox for fear of busting #winning Sheen.

Those without real & adaptable skill eventually gets weeded out by technology. Been like that before cavemans had commercials to do. Like HFT programs, writing programs now flip through the thesaurus and combine to make articles...if u don't have something original, salesy marketers like your example r in trouble. might as well sent that email with a bottle of greasy gel.

Those r wonderful babies u got there Josh. Not exactly the $ or the power, though often comes hand-in-hand if u want it, but the ability to make something happen. $ or power itself is not good or bad, its who's using it and how. "guns don't kill people, people kill people." I agree with your Why 100% and I'd do the same when I have my own family. Thanks for sharing & have a great trip. Lots to come home to.

Just posted the new version 0.45.1 an hour ago. You can customize charts for specific stocks as well as various time frames, add indicators, and color scheme to match your site. We don't have direct connectivity to Worden (FreeStockCharts.com developers) API, so we've made an admin panel where you can customize and grab the code for use in the widget.

If we can get the API working that'd be idea, but for now this works :) Can't make it perfect right away or else we'd have nothing to do!

Haven't gotten an iPad, but with the iPhone i have I'm very impressed with iSwim (and the TD ameritrade version that's very very similar) as well as iTWS. couple other brokers' like eTrade and tradeMONSTER are clunky but work well enough for disaster management of positions (as opposed to having to call your broker...). the exchanges (Nasdaq, CBOE, CME) have put out their own apps but they seem more for education. for market news, you're right, CNBC and Bloomberg are best. each specializing in its own niche is the way to go, and combining uses of various apps rather than having an "All in one"
