Maybe you need to look up the definition of SPAM?

"Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services."

Me following who I choose to follow is not being a spammer. And by the definition above, I would think Howard is a spammer, as all he does is pump stocktwits or jealously complain about Jason over and over again. And that is how he uses Twitter as "his tool". lol! I would also think that having his own secretary bad mouth him is not good for StockTwits, in gest or not. http://stocktwits.com/u/Kar... Just my own opinion of course.

As to StockTwits automatically following people, fine. They have that option. I would think that they would try and engage those followers in conversation on the market or how to help them with Twitter, especially the 2.5k brown avs that are solely following StockTwits. Again, as a former business consultant, just my own opinion.

As to "and not using twitter in the way it was intended to be used" I didn't realize Howard created Twitter. lol!

And, Twitter itself must think someone having a lot of followers is a good thing, because they have a list of "Suggested Users to Follow" on Twitter with a prechecked box for all the new people who sign up. As Soren knows because he was one - you get about 2.5 thousand new followers a day if you are one of those people.

This is from Twitter:

"We've also placed limits on the number of people you can follow. The number is different for everyone, and is based on a ratio that changes as the account changes. If you hit a follow limit, you must balance your follower/following ratio in order to follow more people- basically, you can't follow 50,000 people if only 23 people follow you. Based on current behavior in the Twitter community, we've concluded that this is both fair and reasonable."

As to me following a lot of people, I enjoy all the people I have met through Twitter, have learned a lot from them, laughed, been in debates, met some in real life, etc. It has been wonderful! I prefer to learn rather than be close-minded and sheltered and only following a few people. Even Twitter itself states: "We believe that following 2000 people is a reasonable limit for the number of people an average person can follow." http://twitter.zendesk.com/...

Thank you for the compliments on the blog. The contributors there freely give their experience and opinions so that others can learn and become more profitable in the stock market. I appreciate that.

As to a "fake friender" - that is also not true. Take a look at who is following me. I have a ton of REAL spammers that I do not follow back. And I also follow people that I WANT to follow who DO NOT follow me back.

Price your book for free? What is your reasoning for that? You have given away so much of your knowledge, help, experience, memories, humor, and time to so many people for free already - why not charge for this book?

Sorry if you are in someway offended by my comment to James. Was trying to give corrective criticism as his words were going to go into a book.

I have noticed via Twitter that a gigantic number of people can't spell or use correct punctuation or grammar. I had no idea public schools were failing so miserably in that regard.

Search "your" and see how many should be "you're". You know, in your spare time.

I am pleased to hear about your children's love for reading and writing! You probably read them books when they were tots. Yay!

My daughter is 14 and reads at 3 year college level and came within 12 kids of being in the ESPN National Spelling Bee. I am very proud of her! But, like James, I am NOT an advocate for college.

No one excels at everything - that is for sure. But basic reading, writing, and arithmetic should be something everyone should have the grasp of.

I too, envy people that are great storytellers. James is one of them, no doubt! I am glad that you are a fan of his!

I think once "they" decide on a Republican nominee, there will be more people in your area who are interested in joining and hosting events for President Obama.

I think the Obama tech team needs to advertise the event calendar somehow. I don't think many people even know about it.

Don't get discouraged - there ARE other Democrats in your area! Perhaps advertise your party on Craigslist.org and your local online newspapers. That should be free to advertise.
