I hated to miss the cap-and-trade vote. It’s a terrible bill. I doubt it will survive the Senate, but if it does I look forward to voting against it when it returns to the House.

I'm in Mobile, AL at the National Junior Miss Scholarship competition, where my daughter, Alexis is competing as Arizona's Junior Miss. I’ve let my daughter down enough over the years. I just couldn’t do it again last night. She had a tough night. I’m glad I was there with her.

I'm sorry to have let you down.

Hmmm. I doubt that. I voted against more than 90 percent of Republican spending bills. We spent far too much when we controlled the House.
