I never finished the Thieves' Guild questline, because the leader kept threatening me with the Assassin's Guild. I was already the head of the assassin's guild and got sick of her, so I killed her and was unable to finish it.

Yep, it has so many great features. It learned from both the successes the mistakes of MTG and Hearthstone and added extra features like spell mana if you don't spend all of your mana in a turn. It has the most competitive balance between going first and second too. It's a very solid game on top of being an unbelievable f2p game (and extremely cheap relative to the other options if you are a whale and want to buy cards for decks).

I wonder how he would do in a game with even more player agency like LOR. It's cool that he's trying new games though.

Completely agree, it's single player. F1 has a rewind button for when you screw up (if you want to play that way).
