The most vocal proponents of the other side's point of view are going to be the ones with the most extreme beliefs, and I feel like it's important to counter them. Even if it's just with silly little pieces like this.

When I meet someone who is anti-abortion, I feel bad for them, because they've been tricked into hating women. Because that's what the movement is all about. It's certainly not about the sanctity of life (or else all these groups would be doing a hell of a lot more to protect those who are already born) and it's certainly not about the bible (which says nothing specific about abortion, and even has passages where supposed 'heroes' order pregnant women to be put to death.)

The pro-life movement is about men controlling women, and punishing them for sexual deeds. Anyone who gets suckered into supporting that certainly deserves my pity, but should not have a free pass to get spared my scorn.

Re: upon which i stumbled - For your daily dose of WTF slash “What color is...

This was awesome.

Re: The Search for the Best Web Show: The Jerry Seinfeld Program

This is one of the most fantastic things.

Re: http://laughingsquid.com/laughing-squid-blog-launch-party/

As far as I can tell, our main feed does not update with each comment.
