Not only have I cut ten minutes off of my commute (based upon getting on the bus and getting on the bike at the same time), I now control my own destiny as I am no longer waiting for a bus.

Re: How to use VLC to watch any video on Apple TV

Use the Track Synchronization in the Window tab of VLC and delay the audio track synchronization by -2 seconds. But aren't speakers by their very nature guilty of producing the same (micro seismic) effect? Decoupling the speakers from their base would eliminate this inherent feedback loop. Decoupling is nothing new for all other components in the audio chain. Interesting as this is just now being applied to speakers - or is it?

Re: 2014 NAHBS: Breadwinner’s Throwback B Road Gravel Bike

Beautiful bicycle indeed but tell me about the reasoning for the offset seatpost. Tilt adjustment appears to be maxed out and the saddle is still not level (of course actual saddle angle is a personal choice). It would appear that form is being sacrificed for function?

Re: How CEO Pay Became a Massive Bubble

Late in listening to this but how poignant a listen it is with the current case of Greg Smith and Goldman Sachs.

Re: The Myth of Monotasking

"Collecting dots but not making the connections", love it.

Re: Fire All the Managers

My condolences to Sarah Green for having the patience endure to what is in essence a rant. Hamel presents the age old argument of Leader vs. Manager. There is nothing new here and the subjective tone of his presentation only undermines the real substance of his argument.

Re: Who Fixes the Euro?

Reads right out of Duncan Watts' book, "Everything Is Obvious:*Once You Know The Answer".

Re: The More You Know: The New TV & Movie Rentals With iTunes 10 & Apple TV

So why should I buy the new AppleTV ILO buying the old one?

Re: Grape Radio Interview

It was great to hear you on the show and I was quite surprised to that they would even have you on, though they did have Kermit Lynch on the show some time back. The great fun is the comments on the Grape Radio site, the demonizing of natural wine continues to amaze me. Always fun to see Loring take the bait. Why does he always feel he has to defend himself? Is he really afraid of Alice Feiring's "opinion"?

No wonder the Grape Radio crew has a tough time pronouncing Italian wine labels, they can't even properly pronounce your name.

Tell Jay and Brian that there is plenty of great syrah that doesn't need a big hunk of red meat paired with to enjoy. Keep up the good fight.

Jason

Re: Andrea Calek and Blue Portuguese

+1

Re: Me and Grace

"....fruit and no structure" Surprise, that's just the way she (Heidi Barrett) came off in her Grape Radio interview.

Re: Why I love Paris

I didn't know you could get wine in such tiny little bottles.
