Exposure. Jen mentioned early on that she wanted to show Ben more stuff and people from his present to help him remember. As he was reminded of things and saw people he knew, bits of his memory came back. Judging by his completely failing the friend quiz in the finale, even that is still a patchwork.

The original show did the same thing. Sam had a episode where he met the piano teacher he had a crush on as a kid. He memories and feelings about her came back very strongly. He got to romance his childhood crush as an adult.

Yeah, this is pretty bad. It's not just a spur of the moment thing. Some time in the last 15 years she should have thought of her mother as a human being and prepared herself for the idea of her mother dating.

It's not unforgivable by any means, but most of us try to do better than this.

1) "Typa typa typa" makes me think of the Simpsons tap dancing episode with "Tapa tapa tapa."

If it were me, proof that ghosts are real would still leave me thinking that any given ghost hunter was probably a con-artist. Like how princes are real, but that prince from Nigeria who wants me to help him with money is not.

Well, how reliable is *his* memory? Did she actually tell him everything, or did she say one sentence about her parents one day, one sentence about her aspirations the next day, etc?

The part about him being homeschooled makes me think that Hazel was the first girl he ever spent significant time with. He could have been wildly overreacting to a very small amount of interaction.

I'm thinking that Hazel wasn't the best employee to begin with. I don't think we've seen much of this, but my impression is that she complained about having to work there and was less than enthusiastic about doing her work.

Plus, anyone who randomly walks in and says, "I quit with no notice!" could do it again next week. She's kind of a time bomb.

This actually might have been Clarice's best opportunity to replace her without things getting ugly and losing a friend.
