The lady who wrote the article stole quotes from Jame Trecker's recent interview with Clint for Fox Soccer and didn't credit the source. Is that regular practice amongst the British media? Its caused quite an uproar on this side of the pond. The NY Times has made a sloppy correction, but the lady who wrote it, I believe, works for the Telegraph.

Make no mistake, the writers take what he does for Fulham into consideration as well. He should have won it the previous two years as well. US Soccer will award their player of the year later this year, but Clint won the award that matters in my opinion.
