I admit it, I double parked my Zipcar in front of my place. But I was moving at the time and didn't really have a choice of looking for parking elsewhere. Ideally, if there was an open spot anywhere on my block I would have taken it and moved my stuff with a cart. I just wished those drivers who are so entitled to free or low-cost parking knew how much space their personal vehicles take up on our streets. Expand SFpark! That way those who really need parking can get it.

This was a much better walking experience than CicLAvia – To the Sea last April. I walked most of that route got yelled at and harassed by cyclists for being in the way. Pedestrians were in the minority that day. It was not in the spirit of ciclavia at all.

I guess I had a bad day using bike share for the first time too. It took me a good 10 mins to click through the series of screens. Trying to read the entire rental contract on that little screen with the commotion of Market St going on around me was brutal. It took me a while to find the keypad too. Then I couldn't undock my bike. Eventually I figured out that I had to lift the back wheel while pulling out.

Docking my bike turned out to be another ordeal. Apparently I didn’t dock right because the green light didn't pop on. I was charged the $150 late fee. Customer service was nice about it and cut it in half.

All for a 24 hour membership. Fun ride though.

Yeah, it's been a while since I went (after realizing there wasn't much there), but there's a tunnel and walkway across a parking lot to a cineplex and some eateries. I wouldn't call it a shopping destination.

The dashed lines on either side of the bike stencil seems to clutter the lane. The green super sharrows used in Long Beach and Oakland seem to be clearer. When I'm riding on these drivers change lanes and give me more space when passing, at least that's something.

I feel excluded when riding a bike in Richmond. Encouraging bicycling walking is the solution to prevent traffic congestion and having more eyes in the street for public safety.

Auto-centric view in the Latham Square article. Mentions "snarl" of car traffic around the square, which I haven't seen during the car-free pilot. Pedestrians and bicyclists are traffic too.

Hopefully the new bus bulbs will be able to fit longer, articulated buses. I don't remember that many tight turns on the route. Using 60' coaches would help with the crush loads.

Cancelling BRT and restarting planning for a subway would take who knows how long. It may not seem like it so far, but BRT is more cost-effective and quicker to build than a new metro line. Van Ness BRT is planned to be completed and ready for service in 4 years. I'd rather have faster and more reliable bus service in the short-term than wait 20+ years for a subway. I see no waste here.
