Unype is also different from Loopt or other services alike since users are  not automatically geolocated. Unype, for me, is more like platial with mapped static avatars.&lt;br&gt;Again I think Unype is a good initiative, but maybe they don't have  the right infrastructure yet. In my opinion many other companies serving the same goal than Loopt will emerge; but the big step forward will come from the technology side, because to locate in real time all the users is not so easy. Real time also means real presence. Actually this type of services face the same issues than  social virtual worlds: capacity and scalability.&lt;br&gt;We, at Twinverse,  we are trying to build something that looks like a geolocated social virtual world, supported by the right technology.
