Food quality. Sheetz' food was great in the 90s. Now their subs are below even the standard of subway and cost just as much. Wawa's food is WAY higher quality.

So, I doubt they intended this as the answer, however, we see that the "ripple" effect of time righting itself after changes were made isn't instantaneous. The photos and news articles slowly change. Old Biff also went forward in time so ostensibly he jumped ahead of the ripple headed for 2015 and arrived in his original 2015 before the change happened. He was probably then erased off screen...Again, probably not what the writers intended, but the logic they set up in the story doesn't intrinsically add up to a plot hole so much as a small detail happening off screen. Perhaps it was purposely unaddressed because...I mean that's dark shit right there...
