Admittedly the solar panel industry does not publicize information it MAY have, so why don't you, who are capable to do so, justify your demeaning of the production and use of solar panels by doing the calculation to show that, perhaps, the energy to produce panels and accessories is NOT returned, and well superseded, during the lifetime of the panels?

The SAME issue pertains to petroleum and is summarized in the acronym, EROEI, "energy returned on energy invested." For petroleum this is no better illustrated than in the use of the essentially futile, significantly higher energy input per unit yield, FRACKING technology.

Russia is merely exercising the well-established, "rules-based" imperative: the responsibility to protect, aka "R2P." This is a 2005 UN doctrine supremely abused by the US that is getting perhaps its first legitimate application in the Russian SMO as it protects people in an adjoining country, who are a) ethnic Russian and/or b) native Russian speakers and/or c) Russian citizens.

Of course that impeccable mandate to protect eastern Ukrainians from its own genocidal post 2014 coup government (i.e. USA), is the direct result of the USSR acceding in the early 1990's to dismantle itself in response to USA demands.

Cooperation is no more or less a selection trait of societal survival than is competition.
The problem is that the machinations/failure of the sociopaths may well lead to the destruction
of all organisms extant, not of exclusively only those possessing the undeniably inferior societal survival characteristic.

I'm not aware of any proof that cooperation among organisms is NOT a trait subject to selection pressure. The fact that the Prince documents such cooperation among animals proves that under the correct environmental conditions, cooperation has contributed to the fitness, thus survival, of species that cooperate.
