mrs veach is standing for truth and not being a worm like everyone else in talladega waiting for a check from the government and watching tv. she is avoiding the same actions that people stood against in gemany under hitler. the poor people in talladega will not figure anything out as far as the city manager and the city council until it is too late. hurrah for mrs veach for she is a trail blazer and a true leader.

as far as this city manager and city council goes ignorance is bliss. maybe the city of lincoln or munford should annex talladega as this would take positions of authority away from the children and let the hard decisions be made by competent adults in their right mind. this whole talladega government ordeal is very amusing. a reality show on tv about this would certainley be a hit.

hmmm what is that smell? could it be revenue these greedy city council members and city manager are craving? its the smell of money and this crew of so called representatives need some to keep thier spending habits going. unfortunatley what these guys dont know how to do what is cut back on things as they are going to keep a life style whether the money is there or not. can anyone say charge it? it wil not be long that all that will remain will be a funeral home some burger joints and a china mart in talladega and all your leaders will say is we tried to fix it but we just didnt know how so we relied on stampfler.

now i am speechless and why arent the people of talladega at city hall right now with pitch forks and torches ?? thousands of dollars spent by these characters and all for the wrong thing or at least thats what is being said because of its non popularity. why worry its only money and money is everywhere right? tell that to the tax collectors in talladega and the police writing tickets to generate revenue and the list is endless. unless we confront these people the ignorace will only intensify itself. enough is enough as we have no government only a circus and the clowns are the main attraction. time for bozo to go home.

the city council and the city manager have run out of resources to extract money . so now in order to continue on thier spending spree unabated they know they need to create new places to pull money from. for the poor souls that end up annexed by the city council and the city manager money is going to be demanded from you or some ultimatum will occur. financial rape will occur on a never ending basis because the fine fellows on the city council and the city manager do not know how to cut back in hard economic times like everyone else has to. time for the circus to leave town

this city council and city manager thing in talladega continues to bloom in ignorance and there is no end in site to any thing turning around any time soon. these people short of the city manager campaigned to be the leaders of their respected wards but it appears they do not know how to lead or conduct themselves. the city manger is going to bankrupt talladega sooner than later. the only person that did know their job was sue horn and now she is gone. too bad for the people of talladega. hopefully lincoln will annex talladega.

all the barking in the world on this comment board will make no difference at all as long as it is the taxpayers money that the city council and the city manager are spending like a drunken sailor. if they (the city council members and the city manager) cared so much for the great city of talladega why dont they cut back on their salarys for acting in their roles as leaders not to mention the city manager who is knocking out 140 thousand a year. thats 2600 a week. this will not be considered as it is not the city they care so much for but their own self interest. with every thing closing they will not have a kingdom to rule over much longer. again i say perhaps lincoln might consider annexing talladega into its fold.

mr shelby is a hypocrite and there is not a dimes worth of diference between the republicrates and the demopublicans. i called his office and mr sessions office in 2005 in washinggton district of criminals and pleaded with the girl to ask the senators to vote no on the real id act that was up for a vote. the girls both said their phones were ringing off the hook for a no vote to that issue : well both senators voted yes regardless. so the moral to this story is he represents somebody but that somebody is not the people but rather lobbies and people that give him money. the real id act by the way if no one knows what it is is the tagging of all drivers liscences in the country with a transmitting chip embedded inside so the government can keep up with everyone. who in their right mind would have voted yes on such a measure??? maybe someone who is told how to vote because this act wreaks of nazi germany and hitler. he may be famous and on tv a lot but he does not represent the people. ps the total vote on the real id act was 100 to 0, this says a lot for our senate.

let's see talladega is collapsing in on itself and in great need of revenue : trying to annex in others so that revenue will be available and paying a city manager 140 thousand dollars a year buisness is going away and the city council is planting trees this makes no sense to me maybe i need a new zip code as 35160 does things in a backwards manner.

this comment is encouraging and to the point. the problem however is oboma is a globalist just like clinton and the bush's and reagan and so on and so on before him. in the past government has launched a war against poverty and now look where we are, then the government said it would launch a war against drugs well now look where we are and then the government said it would launch a war against terrorism well the fight is against the american people themselves. let the federal government do its thing where it has its only legal and constitutional legitamcy and that is the 10 square miles called washington dc. the american people will do well as long as a pesty fed leaves things alone.

those that are in leadership positions are supposed to be a cut above the rest in wisdom and understanding. with the city council all i see is spending like a drunken sailor whether the money is there or not. when econimics are going south the spending should decline also;;; not plant a bunch of trees and silly things such as this . i feel sorry for the people that are in the annexation of the city of talladega because thier town is going to be in financial ruin and this city manager that is dragging in 140 thousand dollars a year plus all the assistants that he has hired will go to another place to do the same thing to another town. maybe sue horn should have stayed.

oh give me a break. for people that do no know any better that illegals have been pouring into this country unhindered long before 911. new laws may go into effect but that will be for anyone that is an american citizen. it is the poor americans that will have to get permits and passports etc. the television broadcast propoganda unhindered 24-7 and everyone beleives it. folks had better start doing their homework and stop depending on propoganda from the newspaper and the television because things are tough now soon to get beyond measure.i have spent alot of time in research on this matter so this is not opinion.

and so it begins. to ride around on cesaer's roads you must have your permission slip or you will lose your car. this is tyrrany but most will not see it that way as they will call themselves good tax paying citizens who obey all the rules. will these same citizens stand in line to get a liscense to go to the bathroom when that rule is being enforced? most are unaware of whats ahead paying little or no attention until their apple cart is turned over .i feel sorry for the people of pell city as they have tyrants for leaders. where are they going to put all the cars ? at the city council members house's ,maybe their children get new rides , i cant wait to see the opposing views after this posting. wake up people

ahh the joys of being a politician, being able to make up the rules for everyone else to obey and breaking these rules themselves with no penalty. what is written in this article is only a drop in the bucket to what is really going on not only in montgomery but in washington also. if one cares to investigate one would find that the great majority of politicians in washington do not pay any income tax. remember the choices of president oboma that had to bow out gracefully because it was made known that they had not paid their "fair share". what we need in our city , state, and nation is statesmen and not any more politicians as these uninformed men and women have done enough damage already .we are in big trouble now as all these bailouts are banks looting the future tax reciepts from those that pay taxes,. in my opinion the american people have been hosed and have no understanding of how bad things truely are.

the title of this article says "finally"...signs of recovery. the only problem is this statement is not true and is only propaganda as the commercial real estate problem has not reared its downfall just yet. as long as the U.S. federal government continues its bail outs of the banks ( the last ones that need any money) and spend at 100 mph the economy will tank. the economy is purposely being taken down. the stock market is stable because of hedge funds as if it were left alone it would have crashed about a year ago. i do not know who wrote this article but they are uninformed.

i commented a couple of weeks ago when pell city's council created an ordinance for the police to confiscate someones car if they had no licsence . i commented that the governmental body there in pell city was tyrannacal. well after reading yesterdays article i am now convinced more than ever of this. people will tolerate anything bad as long as it is not their ox that is gored but when it happens to them they cry foul. i do not know this mr sweezey however he should have been given warnings as to bad job performance at least once or termination would occur. as per what i have read this is not the case. if the good folks in pell city do not pay close attention to what is going on in front of them they will wake up in a 1940's type of germany. your city government is out of control wake up.

i heard right after george sims decided to step down as judge that jake montgomery was going to fill that position. george sims cost me 1500 dollars because he ruled by his opinion instead of the law so i know how horrible a judge in his court of opinion can be and cause finacial loss not to mention the anger that seemed to never go away after that stupid decision. i think its kind of ironic that jake montgomery's name ended up on the list of finalist also. they even had a committe there to make it look fair and just. however when money speaks people listen. if there is a puppet then there must be a puppeteer pulling the strings. if a ruckus is not raised then you can probably expect to see mr montgomery as the new replacement for judge ,and the procedure that was used to determine the best candidates was even made to look legitamate. i wonder what those candidates that were not selected thought as they found out the results. money talks loud and you are seeing this right before your eyes. if i had enough money i think my cat could have been on the list of finalist. wake up people
