I was talking to Mike in terms of wearing ear plugs - not the players. And I don't know, basing your home team advantage based on the fact that your loud seems pretty juvenile to me. Stadiums are approaching and passing the threshold of pain. I guess I am certainly in the minority here with this though, and at least I can enjoy the games still in a much quieter form from my couch.

Mike, consider wearing ear plugs at the game if the noise level is going to be that intense. I don't go to concerts without mine anymore - they are a god send. I wear an acoustic pair, so they are much less muffling of the sound and more just lowering the level of it. It protects my hearing and I don't end up with a pounding headache. Seems like a no-brainer to me.

All of that said, I think that teams build purposely loud stadiums is just absolutely juvenile

I'll admit that I got into them after they had disbanded, but man they were great. I feel like they are rarely talked about as well, which is a shame.

I have a pair of AKG K550s and I really love them. At first I didn't care for how kind of soft they were, but I grew to really love them. Picked up a pair of Philips Fidelo L1's too see if I would find the well reviewed, semi-open, and bass heavier cans would win me over. That answer was a flat out no.

Never listened to Grados yet, though. I have always been put off by their look, not in just the "i'm not a fan of retro" kind of way. They just look...uncomfortable.

Brother is easily the most over rated game for me in the last couple years. On the plus side, the game looks great and the world is really interesting. But the story is bland, it bashes you over the head with its themes, and the control scheme is GOD AWFUL. I don't care if it links controls to narrative, it doesn't justify the first 90% of the game where it is just painful....all said, I just don't get why people love this game in the way they do and I can't imagine you being able to deal with the control scheme.

I discovered ENVY earlier this year and I feel in love. I have checked out their Recitation album so far, but damn I have spun it a ton of time. They kind of remind me of a more ambient/melancholy version of Deafheaven.
