It's a bit sad, though, since you can tell they're completely trying to replace XI with XIV. Devil Survivor had inheritance done nicely, I'm sure they can expand on that.  I think I spent 2 hours+ fusing a perfect Helel in P4 and an hour making an invincible Beelzebub in P3. The latter had especially charming characters.
