I find the best way to forgive someone when they've done me wrong is to think of how I may benefit from their actions in the long run. I'm thankful to everyone in my past for helping make me into who I am, including the ones I had so much trouble forgiving at the time.

Honestly, I hadn't really thought of it that way. What you're saying is true though. I still don't understand why everyone is up in arms, as though they were trying to make her deny her black heritage just because they mentioned her other heritage as well. Maybe they should get a non-mixed race woman if they want to focus on how, like you're saying, African skin isn't all one color.

I think people missed the point. She was expressing what exactly went into forming her skin tone as a way of showing that Loreal wants to celebrate how many different skin tones there are. So of course she listed all of the ethnicities. Like I would point out that I'm Irish, Scandinavian, and American Indian. This all contributes to my skin color. She's not denying her black roots at all. But just saying, "I'm a black girl," wouldn't have the same effect. It's made to make everyone feel unique, because we all do have a slightly different blend of genes in us.

You don't think she's tanned at all? Seriously??? People aren't that color naturally. She's RED like all the people I know who tan too damn often. And the starting to become leathery sort of quality to her skin makes me positive she tans.

To each their own. I think the color of her hair is done nicely. Just not a fan of any sort of poofy, bump-it kind of thing. Personal preference though.

I like all hair types, but I'm going to puke if I see one more girl with super tan skin, dark brown but not quite black, long straight hair.

Curly hair used to be cool. Then everyone was all, "I'll have straight hair and be different!" Same thing with blondes being in, then everyone doing this exact same shade of brown to get away from the blonde fad. Ugh.

She looks like Miley Cyrus if she gained 50 lbs and went as a whore for Halloween. The eyes are the most awful thing I've ever seen on a face. And what's up with the two little bumps at the top of her cupid's bow of her lips!? Maybe she's just squeezing them into looking like that, but it looks like she's growing something.
