We don't ask other states to repair our roads and highways. In my state, we have a balanced budget with plenty of money set aside for infrastructure and its maintenance. This is not about "selfishness". That is an old, worn out retort that doesn't hold water any more. It's about forcing your Governor and representatives to do their jobs effectively and stop with the whining and expecting the government (taxpayers) to bail your state out. Since when is it good policy to reward bad performance?

The only issue I have with it is having taxpayers in Missouri and every other state to pay for it. We pay for our own police stations. What makes Oakland so damn special? Oakland can pay for its own police stations, as far as I'm concerned. Besides that, the price tag is beyond exorbitant.

Einstein, you're kidding, right? Car OWNERS pay their way every time the put gas in the tank. Have you ever heard of the State and Federal taxes on gasoline? Have you ever heard of the State sales tax that one has to pay when a car is purchased? How about the license fees............have you heard of those? Car owners pay their way a hell of a lot more than the yuppies who prefer walking to work in their Birkenstocks.

The seniors won't be using the Metrolink boondoggle. I'm a senior and I won't use it due to the thugs and hoodlums that hang out at the stations. Seniors want SAFE transportation like OATS, not the crime-laden Metrolink.
