So, what is his 'retirement' package from IPS? Oh, and what did he walk away from Washington Township with?

From the IndyStar: "White’s base pay is about $194,000 but perks like a car allowance, pension payments, insurance and retirement drive the annual cost of his contract to about $374,000 annually..."
http://www.indystar.com/art...

So, his freaking PERKS run the poor taxpayers $180,000.00 PER YEAR?!?!?!?!?!?!? How many people even MAKE this amount of money each year, and live in the IPS district?

IPS is not the most affluent district in the state. How in the HELL can they afford this? Ahhhhh.....by government force via taxation. And, what say do the taxpayers have? ONCE every four years. How much havoc can a school board inflict upon us in four years?

Why does each school district need a superintendent? The only 'super' addressed in Article 8 of the Indiana Constitution is the State Superintendent.

Somehow, I suspect that those who framed Article 8, and those who ratified it, never suspected the amount of money that now goes towards 'common schools'.

This whole deal stinks for taxpayers.

Re: Have a Cheat Sheet on Us!!!

I just don't get it. It appears that White is leaving because of a differing vision. So, if his 'vision' collides with his EMPLOYER (aka the taxpayers, administered by the elected Board), then either White gets behind the Boards vision, or he hits the bricks WITHOUT his golden parachute.

I really get sick and tired of these Superintendents getting these wonderful 'bonuses' for NOT working, or for NOT completing their contracts.

So, what's up? Can't these clowns get fired?

White should really be leaving on April 1st...'cause the joke is on us poor taxpayers.

Re: Smile for the Camera

Yep. Sommers cited a 2001 Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling upholding a judge's power to order a defendant, as a condition of probation, to not procreate again unless he can show he can financially support the child.

'I will make that a condition of the probation,' Boyle said immediately, sentencing Curtis to three years' probation.

Defense attorney Robert Peterson argued the probation
condition was not recommended in Curtis' pre-sentencing investigation report by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, The Journal Times reported.

Curtis told WDJT-TV he planned to comply with the condition.

'Judges, they make rulings,' Curtis said, 'they make them
kind of hastily. So, if that's what he feels one of my conditions should be then I'm going to abide by it.'

The July 2001 Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling affirming
the probation condition involved a case from Manitowoc County. David Oakley had been charged with seven counts of failing to support his nine children,

The justices said that Oakley's constitutional right to
procreate wasn't eliminated because he could still reproduce as long as he made child support payments.

Curtis’ record includes convictions for passing bad checks, criminal damage and burglary.

Other deadbeat dads have been given similar demands in
the past.

In March 2002, a judge ordered Luther Crawford of
Kentucky, who had 12 children with 11 women, to stop having sex in an effort to keep him from having his 13th child.

Desmond Hatchett of Tennessee, America’s most infamous
baby machine, has fathered more than 20 children with 11 women, according to Knoxville News.

Hatchett has been locked up for the last three years and
his sentence won't expire until November 2014.

Re: The State of Indiana Black Youth

I'm sorry, but I thought we were talking about the FFA convention and the IBE/Summer Celebration.

Have you any relevant commentary on that topic?

Re: The State of Indiana Black Youth

Nice to see that you're consistently living in La La Land. Matthew.

What "I" insist upon is EQUAL FRACKING TREATMENT for those who chose the Polygamist way of life.

Thus, the law needs to be rewritten to accomodate marriages with multiple partners.

Without coming out (pun intended), you are trying your best to refrained from calling the Polygamist lifestyle "abnormal"...in other words...it's not the norm.

I am absolutely certain that a great majority of folks believe the same of homosexual relationships - that they, too, are "abnormal".

Homosexuals are enjoying the fruits of "enforced tolerance".

The proof of my assertion? Simply repeal ALL of the laws that favor homosexuals, LGBT, etc, and see how 'tolerant' people are of alternative lifestyle choices that are rammed down our throats.

Sat, 09 Jun 2012 07:08:36 marriages? You're in favor of regulating other marriages. Clearly, you're in favor of homosexual relationships between consenting adults, but you are against other 'alternative
