To those of you commenting on the number of "gay" stories, it is gay pride month nationwide so awareness is a bit higher than normal. I suspect this group sent the station a news release and as you may or may not know, it's pretty much "low" time for news right now outside of fires.

They discussed in the editorial meeting and decided to send a reporter.

Back in '99, that's how this station got off the ground. It's been a flavour of adult contemporary ever since. I think the latest was a 90s focused hot AC? It will be interesting to see what Rich decides to launch in January.

As much as this reads like the generic "holiday shopping season is here again," by only showcasing JCPenney and using those quotes it kind of reads like a press release for the store's "grand re-opening." I wonder if the 'KIFI News Group' got a big national buy from the retailer for their cluster of TV stations.

Looks like an impressively fair job was done. There are districts that represent urban constituencies, districts representing the more rural residents of counties around growing suburban/urban areas and then large districts that just have to be that way due to Idaho's spread-thin rural ranching/logging/farming based population base.

Yes, flying to/from IDA can be expensive, but at least we have options! Pocatello, Twin Falls and other smaller communities nationwide only attract one air carrier and probably have 1-2 flights a day.

It was interesting to learn that the flights for Horizon between Idaho Falls and Boise were profitable - I'm sure that's helpful information for a future carrier.

I'd love a connection to be re-established as now when I fly in from the pacific northwest, I must go over Idaho and south into Salt Lake City (or all the way to Denver) before coming back in. It's certainly not a preferred route.

I am glad the library figured out a way to provide its digital resources to those who can access them this time around. It was tough to not even have the catalog last time. Hopefully some patrons will also pick up a King County Library card if they need help with digital resources. I do feel bad for those that do not have another place to (affordably) access the Internet, word process or learn a bit about using a computer.

*Shrug* To me it's just a usual radio commercial. Play some songs from the format with good hooks and then the station logo... apparently that still works in the 'diary' world. Out here no one's really sure what to do, but TV doesn't seem to be it.

At least they went out and shot on location instead of splicing in the artist videos and/or album covers. I mean, remember this? http://www.youtube.com/watc... Seems about the same to me.

I wonder why they didn't include any men in the commercial? Could it be because the format is traditionally female oriented?
