I went astray a little but its still connected to the movie review. It just branched out because there are some people here who didn't care about the movie industry and searching for quality movies. They are also the type of people who refuses to help/and participate in order for our country to be progressive. My point is, if you don't care about the Philippine movie industry, its like you dont care about our country, culture, environment. etc. Admit it, G_Reaper, it is inevitable that a certain topic would go astray. Be it a conversation among friends, classroom discussion, debate, etc. There would be a certain point that the topic would no longer be related to the "base" or "original" topic. It would even end up talking about "poop" or "ebs". Don't you agree?

They are just relying on one person if not a few people. Just like most Filipinos, they only rely on our president. The worst part is, they are entirely blaming the president for any problems or downfall. Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

Arian: That reminds me of some people in their response regarding graft and corruption, pollution, terrorism, etc. They would just say, "It's such a chore, we have lives you know, aside from saving the planet and making this world a better place." They should always bear in mind the phrase "ako mismo".

Arian, there are a lot of people out there who are aware of the situation of the movie industry. They always proclaim that they understand the situation and they are one with the advocacy of improving the industry. But if they are asked to be a part of the change, they would say that its impossible and we cant do anything about it and simply let the movie industry die and not flourish. They are a bunch of hypocrites. They are thinking that it requires a major major effort to make a chance. We dont have to convince millions of people to support the movie industry, all we have to do is change ourselves. Just like the song "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me." We dont have to convice the terrorrists and NPA's. Each and every terrorist should put that into their heartsa nd mins and the world would be a peaceful place. Same goes with the issue of poverty and graft and corruption. There are a lot of people out there who are aware of how to solve a problem but refuses to participate by starting to change him/herself. Do you know anyone who is like that? Pray for that person so that his/her attitude would change.

Had their chance during the first week? They were pulled-out two days after the first screening. You call that 1 week? Some of your justification is pointless and you are even contradicting your own statement. It doesn't mean that few moviegoers means its a badly-made movie. You would agree with me that not all top-grossers are of good quality. I'm trying to help the movie industry and I'm willing to spend my money for all 8 entries. You are telling me now that you have spent you money on some MMFF movies that are pointless. What if Father Jejemon is a little better compared to the movies that you have watched? You have already parted your hard earned money that doesnt even deserve a slot in the festival. Sorry Arian, no offense.

It's on the news that they are going to have a part 4 because of the box-office success. For those who wasn't able to watch it, don't watch it. Last installment is last installment! They should stand by with their statement.

For me, The reason why I like SRR 12 particularly the "Punerarya" episode is because of the dogs. They may look scary but they are still cute. It reminds me of the movie "Breed". I have a soft spot for dogs. It's already a bonus to see the great technicalities and an awesome performance by Carla Abellana. She is keeping her performance to a minimum, not OA. She even looks smart/wise in some of the scenes.

I'm also asking that everybody should watch all movies and that everybody should work together to promote all films and not just their own films. ABS-CBN for example keeps on promoting Shaina in Taging Ina as if she has the starring role there. She is just an extra there. She has more exposure and a more important role in Shake, Rattle and Roll 12 but they did not mention that movie.

Why is it that they are replacing those movies that didn't do well in the box-office with those movies that did well? It's quite unfair. All of them should have equal exposure in cinemas. If you noticed, some theaters are no longer showing "Father Jejemon" and replaced it with movies that did well in the box-office like "Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote". The more that "Father Jejemon" can't earn money. They should showcase all 8 movies for the entire 2 weeks no matter what. If they think some movies are not doing well, The movie industry should help those movies that are not doing well by promoting them. Moviegoers should also watch all 8 movies.

There are a lot of "slots" nowadays. Just think of AIDS and unwanted pregnancies and being liberated. It's not insulting to the women at this time because there are a lot out there today that are worth insulting. This should be an eye opener for them.

This is a pretty good role for Marian indeed. She is very natural here. There's no surprise that she is one of the top 3 Best Actress in the MMFF. She is a good predecessor of Maricel Soriano.
