Not to mention that the article is based on new rifle and cartridge sales. There are so many 30-06 out there already, perhaps sales are down because people already have one or buy one used and/or are reloading. I enjoy my old Savage, but I bought a 6.5 CM this year because I heard a lot of good about it. It's a damn fine round and will surely put some meat in my freezer, but I wouldn't abandon the -06. It's far too common of a cartridge and always gets the job done.

I concur! Although, I have to admit that I recently bought a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 CM to hunt with this year after years of using a hand-me-down Savage Super Sporter 30-06 that's almost twice as old as I am. That doesn't mean he old Savage is going to collect dust though.

It sure is getting attention, but is it really working? Because people don't see this protest for what you state it is for. They only see the disrespect that it shows. The NFL is losing fans and sponsors that pay the owner's and player's salaries, so if that is what "working" is, then great, it's working. Just so we're clear, I'm not mad or hurt over them protesting. While I don't agree with the platform they are using, it's their right. This teacher was wrong, stating her political opinion to young students at school and has to suffer the consequences of her freedom of speech, just as anyone else that exercises their rights may have to face the consequences of protesting at their workplace, like NFL games.
