Simplify, simplify! to quote one of my favorites. And I DO love you, Jeremy!

Re: REBarCampNY10 After Party #REBCNY10

,,,with bells on!

Re: Who do you recommend and why?

LOL! No, I know that it isn't about you! And you are right- this has been an incredible journey. It really has been. I have met so many people that I would not only recommend in a heartbeat- I would step in front of a bus for them.
I have met an amazing network of real estate people who would be the best in the world to refer to. That would probably be about 300 people to mention- so I will pick the visionaries and crossovers, all of whom would take the time to help someone out if they needed it. Lesley Lambert and Maya Paveza (who doubled her business this year) are obvious ones. Gerry @RealtyMan Bourgeois is a true visionary. Bill Lublin is perhaps the best businessman I have ever met. I have to mention Debbie @FloridaSunSales Kirkland for her vision as well, and Clint @therealclint Miller for writing such compelling posts.
I have another maybe 20 people who I need to mention. Dang, Mike- you are going to get me in trouble!

Re: Who do you recommend and why?

Mike, you are one great guy. I have already recommended you (more times than you know) but I will be thinking about how to spread the love today. Have a great new year!

Re: Ubertor Offers Free Website to Top 12 Women Real Estate Bloggers 2009

Excellent! You are on this one, Mike: http://tweepml.org/The-List.... The second one is pulled from the TwitterQueens roster and I know I have left off a ton of good people- just given the size limitations, I had no choice. http://tweepml.org/The-List...

Re: Fear and Loathing in Social Media

I loved your description of stages from a business standpoint. I had seen these described from a personal standpoint (particularly twitter)- but it is even more important to realize as a businessperson that there will be levels of acceptance like this.

Re: A day Without Cats

The name is Amaretto, and I matched each of your points with counterpoints.
My son was training his dog the other day. "Sit," gives the dog a treat, repeat. You would think that the dog would know when he was full, wouldn't you? Guess what? He didn't.
The reason that cats don't perform on command like dogs is because, well... their bell curve is centered a little further to the right, if you catch my drift.
Here's a cat that decided to make a video to show what cats could do if they really felt motivated. http://www.youtube.com/watc... Oh, and those are cat pills that she is training him with.

Re: Retaggr / Facebook Part 2

I went in- my profile was listed numerically, and I was able to get to the FB splash page from the large profile page but not from the badge (the smaller widget). Additionally, when I tried to remove the FB link altogether, Retaggr would not update to acknowledge that.

Re: The Social Media “Village Green” is the Place for Local Businesses to Meet

The landscape is so vast that you are right- people sort it out and break it up into manageable bits. For any business that requires a local clientele, finding or developing a village in the landscape is the only way to be effective.

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - Scaling Caring, my #140conf talk
This is a quick...

That's what I was so surprised about when I first got involved with social media. I backdoored into it from my Point2 website, which recommended being in a Facebook area for local exposure for real estate. It turned out that everyone involved in my area was in high school, and I didn't feel that it was appropriate for me to hang out in that section, so I moved into the mainstream and to twitter.
The intensity of the relationships that developed absolutely blew me away. I don't have my online acquaintances and my "real" friends- they are all real, without a doubt. When a twitter-friend's relative was hospitalized, lost a job, when their closing didn't happen- it was real, because THEY are real. We are just interacting in a different space.
Love to talk with you sometime. If you are in NYC on 6/26 to 6/27 we are having a meeting of online friends called the TwitterQueens (twitterqueens.net has address of where we'll be)- stop by and I'll buy you a drink!
@HeyAmaretto
