I'm pretty sure the show footage was the MH:World version of your first Great Maccao hunt in Generations. I highly doubt that guide assistance would continue on beyond beginner quests. But it makes sense to show in a video because a lot of what this video needs to do is convince ppl who have never played MH, that it is a game try out.

My hope is that this brings a whole bunch of new people to the MH series, because as much as I like playing MH on 3DS with my one friend with a 3DS (I've got like 5 3DS friends and only one likes MH), I'd love to play it with more people.

I really hope cross-play happens, though I'm pretty sure that type of thing is very difficult to implement?

Apparently according to people that play splatoon, gyro controls work surprising well for aiming. I'd assume it might be even more comfortable with a split controller like on the switch? Sort of bridge the gap between traditional controller aiming, and mouse aiming. But yeah, developing for the Switch and then maintaining so many versions of one game (w/ three very different controls) would be an astounding amount of work.

One bit of hubbub I'm starting to hear re: the 9.7" iPad Pro is that is may only have 2GB of RAM vs. 4GB of the 12.9" version. Don't know how much of an issue that will be until people start getting their hands on the new Pro.

I wonder if the squeezing the glutes while walking is also helpful because it counteracts tension in hip flexors (which tend to be tighter or less flexible the more people tend to sit in chairs)

Difficult strategy + Pet your friends?
It's weird and ridiculous and I'm totally buying it.
I always appreciate a strategy game that has some extra stuff in it so I can take a break when the battles get a bit frustrating.

(side note, does anybody else find the female character's voice in that video super irritating?)

I started watching the video and then realized that since I will never
1) hunt down and buy the (pricey) Wii version
2) play the Wii version even if I had it because I barely sit down to play console games
that I should probably pretend that there aren't any better graphics than the 3DS version...

Actually it is quite intensive, partially due to its RNG elements.
Also it's a game that often has a huge amount of elements on screen at once (familiars, 4x4 rooms filled with enemies, blue flies of which it seems 20+ can surround you at a time, blue spiders, large amounts of projectiles from both Isaac and enemies), also effects like dynamic lighting, screen shake, ripples, etc.

After some work the team managed to get the game running on the 3DS, but not to the quality that anyone would have liked.

Due to many other factors in my life that whittled down my willpower, I may have just brought a refurb 1000 model unit. Despite the fact that I know I'll never get as much mileage out of it as I get out of my 3DS, and despite the horrendous memory card prices.

But considering I prefer handhelds (I don't even have a decent tv, the one I have is tiny and standard def), and my WiiU serves fine as my console (and pseudo handheld) that I just cart over to friend's houses for party games.

Heck, I barely even fire up my old PS2 just because it's inconvenient.

But hey...
I will finally... FINALLY be able to play Persona 4 Golden.

It'll go on sale. Atlus has a sale pretty much monthly. It may just take a bit of time for a new game to get on the sale rotation...
