If you want "Israel" to belong to you, so be it. Me, I'm going to Palestine again.

Re: Timber is the new Concrete

This makes Big Sense. At a time when we have already covered so much of our planet with concrete (and not only the urban areas) we really have to think seriously about slowing down. The half-life of all that stuff, much of it already in fact rubble, will stretch far away into 2500 and beyond. It doesn't age in the same way as traditional, modular building methods like brick do and concrete structures don't lend themselves readily to conversion. We have experimented with futurism; perhaps it's time to look again at the horse.

Re: john cage and raashan roland kirk

And I'll bet you've seen 'Let's Get Lost'. Have a look at my blog while you're sitting there - it's brand new and quite unsoiled by actual footprints and even content as yet, but that will come. www.cliffhanley.co.uk - I've just tried linking up to Disqus but gave up as it looked too complex, so it's half-linked, I suppose.
CLiFF> Subject: [Disqus] Re: john cage and raashan roland kirk> From: > To: cliffhanley@hotmail.com> Date: Fri, 1 Aug 2008 08:00:05 +0000> > petegilbert wrote:> > Cliff, I think you are right, Cage's monologue does add much to this. Missed that one. Missed Hendrix' jam with War on the same stage just a few years later. And he was going to work with Kirk. That would have been something else! Nice film though, despite (or even because of) the arty voice-over by yer man. And a tasty vignette of old Soho - would be a good double-bill with The Small World of Sammy Lee. For instance.
